There are some shitty GoT fans that go after the cast and crew when they did their damndest to make the show great. The failure of GoT is solely due to three people (especially since HBO gave them a blank check): GRRM and D&D.

I was a fan of the show. The last 2 seasons sucked, and it was disappointing. But I got over it about a day after the finale because it's just a fricking TV show.
If you're that upset about the ending that you feel the need to sign a dumb petition like it's actually going to change anything, then you should probably reevaluate your priorities in life.

They signed the petition. What do ya want from me? Some folks dress up and attend Comic-Con or some such. I don’t blame them.. The final 2 seasons were trash. Season 8 in particular.

I think the super fan nuclear melt down as the final season progressed was hilarious. I enjoyed the hell out of it and where it was unsatisfying I tried to remember what they were up against because of all the uncertainty around the plot line and the near perfection of the earlier seasons.

It all started with Stannis character butchering, and GoT was full of hamfisted political statements. They were subtle because most of them would’ve required knowing the characters from the source material. Still probably the best television run ever from season 1-4 and the acting/production was always good.

Although I wouldn't bother to sign a petition it seems like a pretty minimal amount of effort. A larger waste of time and energy would be making or consuming a lot of social media posts and videos devoted to your anger.
But you know that kind of obsession and emotional attachment is what actors and writers usually most desire because it fuels their careers and salaries.
The actors are sort of stuck in an impossible situation tho. They probably are sick of the blowback from the last two seasons and have to either defend the writers they worked with or offend the angry obsessed fans who were their biggest supporters.

Yes and yes.
The way Stannis went out was just wrong. Even having Brienne saying “in the name of King Renly” before finishing him. What a slap in the face. Even Margery said “If Renly wasn’t King then I wasn’t Queen”.

a. they aren't great, they had great material to work with until the show went off the rails.

The whole show went sideways when George R. Martin failed to keep up in cranking out the books and stopped giving Dan and Dave material to work with. They couldn't come up with a compelling reason why Dany would go berserk, so they just did it anyways. Because cool dragon destruction scene of King's Landing, bro!
