Agreed, but it's the best I can come up with.

Note that G hit the MUTOS and Ghiodrah with it in the movies and while it's powerful, it's not final in one shot. Usually takes multiple shots and at close range for it really to start having effects.

Plus, it seems that these creatures are already radioactive, so it would make sense that atomic breath would not be an instant kill.

Solid Kaiju movie.

King Ghidora was badass and I wish they would’ve kept him alive to let him be a recurring character in this universe.

I think Godzilla’s Captain Marvel mode was just because of that nuke the Japanese dude used on him. Don’t know if he’ll have that particular trick against Kong.

Also, frick the Orca lady. I’m glad the bitch got blown to kingdom come.

Saw it yesterday. A little disappointed. I want to see monsters and their interaction and battles in the real world, not in the ocean or Antartica or some other unreal feeling setting. I don't care for all the super tech that makes it feel like this is set 50 years from now. Boston was ok, but I want to see the monsters fighting, not the people running away from the battle. I also noticed that they gave less attention to the impacts of the monsters. In the earlier Godzilla, his coming ashore lead to a tsunami that wiped out all sorts of stuff while this time the people can stand on the deck of a sub and get a bit splashed when Godzilla turns around and moves off. San Fransisco was smothered by a cloud of dust but Boston is clear, rain or no rain.

Fun, but they didn't put in the same level of effort.

Nuclear Godzilla was awesome. But further made me ponder how in the FRICK is Kong gonna fight that?
Yeah, they moved him too far past King Kong. Do we know they fight each other? Don't both protect the people around them?

If they do, Kong will have to quickly get behind Godzilla, put him in a choke hold while risking multi-organ cancer in his near future.

How can anyone within several miles of non-nuclear Godzilla not be exposed to a dangerous level of radiation?

They really gave you more of a sense of the wonder, scale, and impact of the kaiju in this movie. They really are a force of nature.
I really thought this movie did the opposite of this. Ocean, air, and Antarctic battles give you no sense of scale. Standing on top of the volcano, sure but that was a minor scene. No tsunamis, no city wide clouds of visually impenetrable dust. Meh.

I was hoping he would come back to fight Godzilla and Kong but I guess they will go one on one instead.
You didn't stay past the credits, obviously. I don't know why people do this these days. The bad guy is shown purchasing the head of Ghidora that was bitten off near Mexico. Clearly, he's coming back.

Saw it today. Was the best Godzilla movie to date and everything you could want from a summer blockbuster. Solid popcorn flick with good monster action. Was a little long, but was a really good movie.

Just got out. Movie was awesome. Another instance where the fans have it right and the movie critics show how worthless their opinions are.

They didn't show the Ghidorah head in the extra scene for nothing. Ghidorah will be back and probably what will happen is Kong and Godzilla will fight, but end up having to team up to not get wasted by a reborn Monster Zero.

I wonder which one’s mother was named Martha

I definetly wouldn’t call that a minor scene. It was a pretty pivotal scene in the movie

I mean this was a Godzilla movie through and through.

My only complaint is Monarch being a US entity. But that's because I like the idea of private Illuminuti super science group over a public Illuminati super science group that is somehow staffed by the army but not beholden to the chain of command.

Other than that, I enjoyed the human story while really enjoying the animators got comfortable with the CGI for this one.

Godzilla's favorite human is named Martha and kidnapped with other children for MechaKG to feast on. Cuz he's a bastard like that.

Oddly the Natives referred to Kong's mother as "Hja'alikki'tavitikkirikki" roughly translated, Martha of the Mountain.
