Critic score is 41%
Audience score is 91%
Critics can really be elitist snobs at times

That’s false. Antarctica was basically a draw because Ghidorah retreated when Godzilla got at him. Mexico was definitely Godzilla getting the upper hand until the oxygen bomb.
The last fight was 50/50 and then Godzilla went super saiyan on his arse.
I beg to differ. Godzilla was no match for Ghidorah until he went radioactive.

yep - my wife just asked my son how the movie was. My son went on to talk about how Ghidorah "dropped Godzilla like 3 times" and "beat his butt" up until the very end, and how they used different stuff to bring Godzilla back to life, which was cheating
He said if it was a boxing match, the 3-headed monster definitely would have won

Trust me when I say that this movie is the magnum opus of Godzilla movies. If you like Godzilla movies, go see it. Not into Godzilla? No one cares about you.
This is what I was hoping to see. My son loves the 70s and 90s Godzilla movies. I will have to take him to see this.

Loved Mothera. She’s my girl. That’s the only Godzilla movie I watched growing up.
I was also a big Mothra fan growing up. I believe that she was the only female kaiju they ever introduced. I was sad that they killed her off, but hopefully we will see her again in a future film.

Most all versions of Godzilla struggled with Monster Zero when they met. I have to admit I'll miss the funky organ music sound Ghidorah makes in some of the movies

Mothra always returns.
She’s part magical... so it’s always plausible for her to reappear.

They showed another Mothra “egg” during the credits so

Mothra dies a lot. And comes back. And sometimes is a caterpillar and others a moth. And sometimes is an egg.
I haven't seen the movie yet... are the twins in it that sing to her?

Movie was clearly written for an international audience with all the simple dialogue. Action got kinda stale near the end. Coach Taylor deserves better

Took me a minute to realize they were twins until they said their first names. I was like how is this woman teleporting???

I’d probably rather see Godzilla again tbh

saw it today. wanted more fighting to be honest. but, when they fought... it was very impressive.
Godzilla put it to ghidorah in their first encounter. ripped one of its heads off, so I don't see where ghidorah had the upper hand.
I also liked at the end where they dropped the hint that Godzilla may be the "villain" monster vs. kong.
some of the scenes were slow in coming (human scenes) and the wife's logic was flawed at best.
all in all a great Godzilla movie.

Yep...when they showed the photo of the twins on Infant Island. They're not tiny fairies though.
Did Mothra intentionally sacrifice herself when she came to Godzilla's aid during the final battle? I got the impression that she knew Ghidorah would blast her and her essence would land on Godzilla.

Probably it's pretty standard for Mothra to get wrecked in a Godzilla movie

Makes sense since it’s just a big moth fighting eagles and dragons
