Nuclear Godzilla was awesome. But further made me ponder how in the FRICK is Kong gonna fight that?

I thought maybe Godzilla would have all his energy sapped from all that radiation and shrink just a tad. But nah, that dude is bigger and badder than ever. Or maybe Godzilla dies and laid an egg at some point and baby Godzilla makes an appearance and then by the time Kong gets there Godzilla Jr is in his teens, making them about the same size.

Don't get this confused as me saying I'm not going to see Kong vs Godzilla. Bc you bet your sweet arse I will.

Kong was a baby in Skull Island, so he'll probably grow quite a bit. It still seems ridiculous to think he could stand toe to toe against Godzilla, but like you, I'll be there first showing to see how they do it. Maybe Kong's dexterity and agility will help him.

They had to juice him up with lightning in the old movie.

I liked it better than the 2014 one. The scene introducing Rodan and the chase leading up to the storm was the best scene of the movie. Rodan was a G!

That was ridiculously entertaining! Best Godzilla movie by far. Can’t wait for the next one.

Rodan and Ghidorah are the shite!

You need to spank your kid more often and put soap in their mouth for saying such vulgarities.

Speaking of the final battle scene, it seemed like the monster fight was just background noise to the soldiers looking for El. It should have been the other way around.

I will agree on this. At that point to hell with the human characters. They led up to a massive final fight scene and then spent probably half of it showing El screaming as two behemoths fought over and around her. Only part of the movie I disliked. Should have had the monsters step on mom at that point and kept El knocked out so they could get back to focusing on the battle.

That explains a few questions I had about some of the other Titans I expected to see

Really enjoyed it. Everything I wanted it to be and it actually had some heart. Lots of nods to the history of the series.

IMAX is a must.

Glad they offed mom so we didn't have to deal with the whole crimes against humanity sitiation. Dumb bitch.

Long live the KING!!!!!!!

Kong was pretty big in Skull Island. He’s had an upgrade, and that movie was set 50 yrs ago so he might be bigger now. Plus Kong has more agility. And Godzilla likes to forget to use his fire breath.

I felt bad that Godzilla’s little home in Atlantis got blowed up

Same here.

Question is...where does he go now to recharge?

I'd imagine he can still recharge at the same place, it'll just be among the rubble and not that fancy palace looking setup it was.

This. They went so far as to say that he's still growing. He was 100 feet tall as a baby, so I assume he will be close to Godzilla's size as an adult.

Action scenes were amazing. Plot was clearly filler to the action scenes. I’m okay with that.

My guess is 350. He'll be smaller for sure but his agility will sure as hell make up for it. Do wonder what his defense against Godzilla's atomic breath will be though

They did set up he could handle/survive fire in Skull Island.

Plus, that was 46 years ago per timeline, so he should be a big sommbitch by now.

Yeah, that bugged me too.

I guess, if anything, it's more radioactive now, but it doesn't look as cool.

BTW, when they said the nukes were damaged and couldn't be remote detonated, did anyone else think "gee, that's nice of you to tell us that NOW"?

Godzilla in KOTM is suppose to be just shy of 400 feet tall. They’ll make Kong big, but I would say he’ll be in the 250-300 feet range. They want him to be competitive but you have to remember he is much more flexible and agile than Godzilla just because of his build.
