God of War to recast lead after injury on set

Must have been a pretty serious injury
Hurst tore a bicep while doing a stunt on the show, as first reported by TMZ. According to sources, he has since undergone surgery and is now recovering.
Really shitty situation because he worked so hard for the role

that's why you don't do stunts unless you're big enough for them to delay production for you.

Theres gonna have to be a lot of reshoots. They had supposedly already finished 4 episodes in about 4 months of shooting.

I hope they do the thing that will make this board the most mad and cast Christopher Judge the voice of Kratos as Kratos.

I feel bad for him because this is obviously a huge roll. I never loved the casting. He was always too northern european looking for Kratos IMO. I dont need a greek hut they need to get the nose right. He was also the voice actor for Thor in the games. So that was really weird
Also, Mandy Pitinkin as Odin? Richard Schiff is 2 years younger. I’d be pissed unless he just didn’t want to go freeze in canada for however many years they’re gonna make this

Honestly i wonder if them not being entirely sold on Hurst's portrayal is part of the reason they decided to reshoot rather than wait.

He had the physical stature for it but he just looked wrong for the part. Probably for the best

He doesn’t look eight for the part, not muscular enough and refused to cut his hair so they put a bald cap on him making his head look weird
