The original is extremely overrated so I'm sure this one sucks but then again I haven't seen it, so I don't really know. Not going to see it but it shouldn't ruin anyone's enjoyment of the original.
If it does then they take movies way too seriously. I also have no interest in reliving my childhood in remakes or seeing this movie. And though I used to get irritated about remakes, I couldn't care less now because nobody is forcing me to watch them.
But as far as the anti-male stuff, if it is really in the film then I don't care for that.

The Chinese don't like black people at all. They had to make Finn really small on the Force Awakens poster. That might have something to do with it.

I will slightly agree and disagree with you. I think the original is somewhat overrated.
It's a good movie, don't get me wrong. I just never got caught up in the mania of the original. I didn't LOVE Ghostbusters, and it didn't make me laugh the way it did for many people. Funny... just not Caddyshack-level funny.
I do think the movie is ripe for a sequel/reboot, though. The time is right for it. It's too good of a property to sit on the sidelines. But this crew? Hmm.

I know I'm going to be in the minority of this thread, but I liked the movie! It's a solid action comedy. I'd give it a 7/10. Are all the jokes funny, no. I still laughed quite a bit. Way more action in this movie than the original.

I swear. I am so pissed they have turned ghostbusters into a feminism shite show. frick these people, frick them all. All of these fricking reviews MUST mention the "female" aspect every time, and with just a few words their review is completely invalid to me. I hate hollywood for this shite, hate it so much. I dont even care if its good or not now, I just wont see based on the premise that I should think how they tell me to think. They have to subtly and subconsciously try to change my mind through a fricking movie about ghosts, why? Oh yeah, because they're snakes about this shite. There can't be a simple/straightforward discussion about this, they have to turn everything into a song and dance.

Dear heavens, that is EXACTLY what i was afraid of. The ghostbusters were NOT fricking crazy arse caricatures!
I just watched the original last night...they humor was not this over the top...they seemed like normal people a LOT of the time, a far more natural and subdued comedy....but this bullshite stupid fatty-doo-doo shite.
