We were discussing best courtroom/legal movies ever made

I argued the top 3 are

12 Angry Men (Original)
Inherit the Wind (Original)
My Cousin Vinny

What does the board think are the best?

I know To Kill a Mockingbird probably top 5 in most lists, if not the top one.

My co-teacher has

On the Basis of Sex
Philapdelphia
Miracle on 34th Street

The PE teacher has

The Pelican Brief
The Rainmaker
Few Good Men

I always liked Presumed Innocent, especially when Raul went in deep on the doctor.

A Few good Men, just because, you know, Jack.

Is that the Grisham movie about the New Orleans gun trial? Where they get a spot on the Jury and Hackman goes berserk trying to figure out who the guy is.

Yes.

I think the book was a tobacco lawsuit in Atlanta.

Pelican Brief was a good one. My Cousin Vinny was hilarious.

The best and most realistic is “My Cousin Vinny”, but I also enjoy “Legally Blonde”, “Liar Liar”, and “Intolerable Cruelty”

Not a movie, but HBO's The Night Of was a decent court case show that I didn't really like the first go around, but after a rewatch I really like it. Shame James Gandolfini didn't live to see it, as I read that he was a co-producer and was supposed to play the role of the attorney who has the skin condition. Either way worth a watch,
