quote:At this point, I don't think so. In the books, they keep giving her the chance to quit, if she chooses to. However, I do think there will be a point of no return, in which she is told that she has to serve for life or go. I think the needle issue I mentioned will be it.
I'm that situation, would Jaqen be cool with her just jetting off after she's been trained in their secrets/magic, etc? Seems like that would put her on the FM public enemy #1 list
Then again, they might let her keep it. In the books, the reason she doesn't toss it is because, by her reasoning, the sword came to her, not specifically Arya. She was Arya when she got it, Arry when she lost it, and she went by another name when she got it back. She considers it HER possession, not Arya's.

That's true and I couldn't tell if the show was going to note that.

For some reason this reminds me of the part of the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy where a certain order of monks teach their apprentices amazing powers but that extraordinary numbers of them quit right after completing their training but before taking their final vows to remain trapped in a small metal box for the rest of their lives.

I think they didn't have to because they intend for it to be an important future scene. If what I predict happens, her speech in that scene will be something like what she was thinking when she hid the sword.

The most we have ever seen at one time was four.

What about when the nights king transformed the baby? Seemed like more than four.

Or he could have given her a different coin. You guys think, that is the only coin like that?

there were 13, part of the ruling "council"?
I suspect there are many more than just 13 WW.

There's no telling how long they have been turning babies either, so there could be hundreds of them for all we know.

I guess it depends if the babies are growing up to be WWs or Wights.
We have to assume they are the WWs because they aren't dead when they turn. We see all the little kids that were Wights and they just decay not age.
Maybe they are part of the army of the dead as they age and we just couldn't tell. But they eventually get old enough to be a WW
The WW look older, or at least, different from the NK too. Until we get more back story on them, who really knows.
It could be that every ranger that goes "missing" has become part of the NK's crew

I'm not sold on Show Night's King = Book Night's King.
I think the show just calls him that because it best describes him. The show night's King is much much older and more powerful

One can probably be turned by the WWs at any point. Babies are just easier to indoctrinate as they know nothing else, similar to the children of Bama fans.

We still don't know how powerful the shows night king is

That's probably right. I think the very first one that looked at Sam looked really old. That was a couple seasons ago, so they can just update the way they want them to look. Kinda like Tyrion's hair in S1 to now.
I even felt the one that Jon Snow killed looked older than the NK. It's hard to tell cause they have hair and he doesn't

Raising hundreds/thousands of the dead by simply raising his arms is a pretty good start.
