Maybe you should read the thread without other distractions. If you were able to focus on the thread and its questions/comments alone, then you wouldn't trip yourself into saying book shite.

I do the same when watching an episode for the first time... You pick up a lot more shite.
Agreed. And the way HBOGo on Xbox works, the subtitles are like a second or so behind the dialogue. So it's cool because I just watch along, and if someone says something that I don't quite hear, I can glance down and see it in writing. It works pretty well.
Also, I keep seeing people mention watching the episodes "for the first time" or reference watching them more than once. I feel like I'm missing out because I only watch them once.

Just doing his part to make sure the GoT thread is moving along and holding true??

when i watched the first 2 seasons, i watched them again with buddies and a lot more stuff made sense. it really makes a difference when trying to understand everything. another thing that id definitely recommend

First time I watch the episode I'm normally doing something but pay pretty close attention. Will do little couple word posts but I watch the episodes multiple times. I know you weren't referring to me you just responded to me ( at least I think) so that's my story. I also dont ask questions here. I feel like i know the stuff well( as well as someone not finished with the books) I watched the 9 o'clock episode too
I like the 9 episode because I don't want to be in this thread right after the show airs. To many bad things can happen IMO so I stay away. That's when I really watch the show
I believe just now me asking if cat said wall or war was the first question I've ever asked in these threads

i hardly comment in them. i read just because i like to see peoples' thoughts and i get to vicariously see the story unfold for the first time again.
Not per Uncle Stu:

I'm glad this is being stated AGAIN for the 29th time, because it needs to

were the absolute worst about this shite last nite after it aired. Like schoolgirls, they run in this thread, lay down some innuendos, and then scurry back to the Book Reader's thread and giggle about it.

I'll watch and then I end up catching one of HBO's reruns at some point during the week. It's addictive.

Just curious when the HBO recap comes out and they mention Bolton's men capturing Jamie how do we proceeds with the whole pointing out the obvious details???

Stu is not quite correct in his assessment of that series of posts, unless it evolved into something different after I went to bed. I only remember asking one question in this thread and it was directly about what someone said on the show.

we revealed nothing. it was just joking around. that was my first extended period in a No Spoilers thread. right, stu, sam kills white walkers and eats them with mormont. seems legit

But I feel like I can pay attention pretty well and have a decent enough grasp on shite to not be completely confused. And I found that once I stopped worrying about names and went the "layman's term" route, all was much easier.
Like my earlier post...I had to look up Bronn's name, but I knew who I was talking about when I said "badass swordsman who fought for Tyrion and kicked that dude out of the moon hole."

And what's up with Stu making lists of book readers? You know who else made lists and disliked books, nazis.

I'm not sure what it's called, but I thought it was moon hole. Pretty sure it's moon something.

It's actually not a bad idea though. It would help to know what posts could potentially cause problems.
