Jaqen (which I can see Murphy playing easily), would only be a single season role (With Murphy as the actor)
They will have to change the actors by the end of the season.
A character that doesn't last an entire season on a show (***SPOILER*** - in the same form), too bad Sean Bean already played Ned or he'd be perfect for the role.

Cillian Murphy feels a bit too youthful and polished to play Davos Seaworth. To me, Davos is a guy with a lot of life experience. He's been kicked around a lot. You need someone older, with a hint of cleverness to be Davos.
I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that the Murphy rumors are just rumors. He's Irish, they shoot in Northern Ireland... it seems kind of too convenient to be true.
Interesting to see the casting choices... they're making good decisions for the most part. I'm definitely following the developments.

Henrey Ian Cusick (Desmond from Lost) would probably be my top choice for Davos, but think I read where he's already signed on for another show

I wonder who will play Brienne.
Or is that the 3rd book ?

That would be awesome.
Most underrated actor on that show

someone mentioned in one of the other threads that they thought Shae was miscast. I agree, though that actress could have played Lady Merryweather (Taena?) perfectly (the Myrish woman). I don't know what a "Myrish" accent is per GRRM, but the actress playing "Shae" in the series sounds how I hear it in my head...

Waiting for season 2 is going to be as long as waiting for football.

I wonder who they get for Vargo Hoat and if he will have a lisp.

Seems like the Gerard Butler as Stannis rumor died out pretty quickly.
I guess it was on the same level as Jerry Rice to LSU as WR coach

I'm in the middle of the 3rd book and now I keep picturing Brienne as Khloe. shite.

Well yeah that's what I was thinking of when I said it. Not the newer run down fake titty chyna.

I was thinking along these lines, at least we have football in a couple of months--that should help break up the wait for season two!
