What?
You can not like the explanation, but that isn't what you asked.
You acted like they didn't give you an explanation.
They clearly did.
Show me. Don't tell me. And that explanation makes no sense as there is a whole other continent that is teeming with men and women.

Varys for example.
He is rarely on screen without another major character he gets it soon but in a battle wouldn't seem fitting for his character.
It would have been very fitting for Grey Worm to go out in a blaze of glory I like may hate the Missendei story line. But without a real army, they need all the fighters they have to make any type of a showing against Cersi
Leaving so many pieces on the board leads to a ton of possible intrigue to be created in the last episodes.

they did

I mean.. the show is telling you.
I would Have preferred more too, but that doesn’t make it illogical. I get It.
The NK doesn’t want to just destroy man he wants to wipe their memory from earth.
3ER is the memory.

Yea I guess so. Dying in KL would be more fitting. If he dies at all. I know Melisandre said he would, but who knows at this point.

Agreed. I just think a little too many. It doesnt bother me enough to make a difference, I was just pretty certain more would die. I would have bet most anything that Tormund was a goner.

Also, where was the Vale commander last night?

Busy stepping off to the side so the adults could have a conversation

Yeah but even something as simple as who he was would have been cool. I think most people assumed he was a Stark but we’re not sure.
In Dance, a vision (Bran?) Mentions a First Man being "sacrificed" by the Children in a ceremony. IIRC, it was assumed he was a Stark because it was either held at the Heart Tree in Winterfell, or the man wore a Direwolf sigil, or both.
The show version it was not the same tree, so I may be confused.
ETA: the text never states it is The Great Other being created, but the show calls him TNK (who was a Stark Night's Watch LC that married a WW and called The Nightfort his holdfast) who was a totally different character anyway.

Good question
where did Bran send those Ravens? Was that just him watching the battle?

quote:why is he just now coming south?
We already know where he came from. The Children of the Forest were losing a war with the First Men and created the Night King to exterminate the First Men. They SHOWED us when he was created.
Bran ALREADY showed us where the Night King and walkers came from and the Night King is still trying to accomplish his goal of erasing the humans thousands of years later. That's why he's got a boner for the Three Eyed Raven. Sam hit on it that the Raven is the history of humans. Erasing the Raven goes a long way to erasing humans.
Lots of people see this show without watching this show.

I thought he came south bc Bran came south. The moment Bran went south of the wall, it was inevitable

This episode to me feels like a microcosm of the past two seasons. Lots of really cool scenes forced together to make a story line that maybe doesn't 100% flow well or make sense if you examine it closely. It's like they had a dozen ideas for some cool scenes cobbled them together to make a story.
Jorah saving Danny scene is a prime example. Obviously the bullet point was "Jorah has to die saving Daenerys".
Lets forget for a moment that Winterfell's walls were completely over run by zombies at this time it was literally raining zombies from the tops of the walls. And forget that Jorah had to see Danny fall from the dragon make it through literally thousands of zombies going over and climbing up and piled around the walls andsomehow make it through all of this in just a few seconds get to her position to defender her. Lets also forget in a similar position thousands of the most well trained and coordinated fighters in the world were over run in just a few seconds while trying to defend against the horde in the open. And to fall off the dragon in the first place just landing in the middle of a giant swarm of zombies isn't the most stupid thing a person could do that that moment. The most stupid this a person could do at that moment is to land and JUST SIT THERE AND DO NOTHING for you know, 5-10 seconds staring at your boy toy to give the zombies enough time to swarm your most important piece of your army.
But yeah Jorah fighting to the death to defend Daenerys was a really cool scene! Hodor!

The 3ER was north of the wall before and he was protected by magic than Bran broke.
