There was something specific about that location that helped her.
No there wasn’t. She moved around the library silently until her blood started dripping on the floor

Correct and you can remove smell from the trigger because she was bleeding the entire time.
So she managed to outwit WW Generals and the NK himself

to put it in GOT religion, she becomes "The Stranger", representing death and the unknown. So now who becomes: The Father The Mother The Maiden The Crone The Warrior The Smith The Stranger = Arya
Yeah. I wouldn’t hold my breath on D and D going ANYWHERE near this level of thought.

Some people have mentioned the scene in the first episode of the season where Arya and John meet at the Godswood and he mentions that he never heard her coming. There was something specific about that location that helped her.
Damn I forgot about that
This is why i love GoT more than any other TV show in my life. So many nuances

I am very late on replying in this thread and I don’t really have any hot takes, but here’s my thoughts:
Overall, entertaining episode. As some have said, the darkness made it difficult to watch. I thought it dragged on some but am happy for the long episode length. I really hate that the white walkers and night king have turned out only to be mindless killing machines without a particularly interesting backstory or motive. Arya killing the night king was fine to me, as Jon would have been rather predictable. I liked the oh shite moments like the entire Khalasar getting slaughtered and having the fires slowly extinguished one by one. I didn’t enjoy that Bran was seemingly no help and I’m not entirely sure what his purpose is now? Ghost dying with Jorah and the Dothraki seems stupid as hell. I’m not a huge fan of the episodes that have a battle the entire time, but I get that it was necessary. It is just sad that it is so very evident that they just want to wrap things up as quickly as possible and the interesting details of the story telling we know and love have seemingly gone by the wayside. That allbeing said, I still find it entertaining and can’t wait for next week and for winds of Winter to come out.
Edit: evidently ghost isn’t dead but I just missed seeing him again. Whoops

The show has made her an invisible, impossible to detect, impossible to stop, ruthless perfect tactical assassin and for some reason she isn't going to just go stab eveyone in their sleep in King's Landing.
Dude, she was on her way to kill her until she found out Jon was alive. Fortunately for everybody, she went to Winterfell and saved everybody's life. It wa much more important for her to be in Winterfell than it was KL. Why is that so hard to understand?

Oh I didn’t realize that. Probably the screen was too frickin dark to see him again.

Well everybody would be dead if she left and did that, so it's probably good she didnt.
I disagree. It would have been perfect. Arya gets to KL and kills Cersei. She returns to the North and finds eveyone dead and then the Night King kills her. Roll Credits. Winter came. And so did I.
