I love all the pseudo-intellectuals inappropriately applying “deus ex machina” to that ending

Not a flying squirrel, she Chris Benoit’d him from the top of the cage.

She is pregnant. Her kid will be the heir to the throne by the end.
Also I'm pretty sure she hide by her brother. Likely in the tree to assassinate the king
The blue eyes reference then she said not today...then went. I'd assume she went there and prepared for what she spent years training for...the ultimate assassination.
The plot lead up to this very well...dont see why you guys are so arse hurt over it. It makes perfect sense she is the assassin to kill the King. Literally four years of storyline about her training for it you stupid fricks.

Wtf was Bran doing all battle? What purpose did the ravens play???
Thinking about getting metal legs like Lt. Dan

Can someone explain to me why keep Bran alive other than he is a Stark? He’s irrelevant unless something big is going to happen between Jon and Dani. Only thing he brings to table is seeing Jon being born and knowing who is parents are. He sole purpose of being 3eyed raven was to see what the NK was planning and doing

What the hell was Bran doing warging as the NK was nearly there?

I’m very excited about this TBH.

What the hell was Bran doing the whole time? He literally served no purpose but to just sit there?
Really?
It was pretty clear that he sent the crows to bait the NK into coming to the godswood.

So now we've circled back to where we started from. Cersei is on the throne, now 2 heirs, maybe 3. How many years did this take?

I don't think I understand Melisandre's purpose/prophecy at all. So...is there an Azor or not? Is the Lord of Light real? She predicted she would see Arya again, that she would take many faces etc...but why was she screwing around with Stannis at all if she knew that Arya was going to be the one to kill the Night King? Wasn't that Stannis' whole thing? That he would end the long night? And she thought she saw him in the flames? But she saw...Arya? Totally lost with her.
I think the conventional wisdom is that there are not necessarily any "gods," just a sort of ambient magic that certain people can tap into due to inherent ability and/or training. Mel could see visions/prophecies, but could not always translate them properly. At some point she transferred from Stannis to Rob as the go to guy. And, in a lot of ways he was the one to put everything together to defeat him. He just didn't make the final thrust. I think she saw that Arya would close a lot of eyes, but I don't think she knew the "blue" eyes would be the NK until this episode.

Arya. I just think it made no sense how she got there. Yes, I realize she was trained. Still makes no sense.
it was entertaining but the whole Arya getting close to the NK like that and the dragons disappearing for a joy ride with Dani/Jon was some silly shite.

I challenge you to explain how any of that shite made sense
There's nothing wrong with Arya killing the NK. What they screwed up is that they didn't show Arya getting into position just to create tension "Jorah can't defend Dany forever and Jon's pinned down by the dragon, who's going to kill the NK and end this?"
They should have taken those 5 minutes of Arya evading WWs inside and instead used them to show us her path from the Red Witch to the NK. You'd still have the tension of "will someone kill the NK in time?" but you wouldn't have resorted to a cheap trick on the audience.

My only complaint is the final climax will be people vs people. Not people vs the dead after beating people. But whatever.

They literally discussed this as they were planning the battle.
No better way to wipe out the memory of man than to kill Bran and start the Long Night.

I was very underwhelmed.

Well, I will say that whether you liked that episode or not, the fact that it was so foggy the first half you could barely see what the frick was going on is inexcusable in a show of this quality.
Posted on 4/28/19 at 9:52 pm to Eman5805
That was intense. As soon as the hot red witch had that little talk with Arya about "what do say to death?" and "blue eyes" I knew she would be the one to take the NK down.

Give me the breakdown, fricktard. I'd like to hear your idiot explanation. I've read all of the posts in this thread and NONE of them can justify either how, or why, Arya was the one to kill the NK or why he went out like that.

I don't know which is worse, that you aren't bright enough to understand the context of why they showed her being sneaky and how it relates to her being there to get the kill-shot or the classical Greek level irony you demonstrated by calling others morons.
Oooh, she's sneaky...I guess that's why she had to run for her fricking life from regular wights, but somehow can magically bypass another group of wights, the White Walkers, and the Night King...who previously DETECTED JON from a far greater distance and rose people to take care of him, so how did he miss Arya? Or how did his army? You don't want to go into an intelligence contest with me, you'll get shanked faster than the NK.

Oh my fault I forgot this is the circle jerk thread.
I never said the filmography was horrible. My critical thoughts come in the form of a magical being being killed quicker than barristan Selmy after years of investment.
