yeah which means the humans have to suffer real losses and it won't be wrapped up in a bow, which is the opposite of how D/D have treated it

i mean we're talking about "non-game players" like Brienne, Pod, Greyworm, etc.

They haven’t made it to the end of the series yet

Well we really just got a decent Dothraki wedding with only Beric, Edd, Theon, and Lyanna and Jorah Mormont dying. I was at least thinking double that number. Really shocked Tormund and Brienne made it out.

think 4&5 are Cersei

Next episode will be filler /rest/plotting /etc.

5 will be battle for king's landing

6 will be world building/wound licking/happy ending

I will be honestly blown away if there isn't a shot of Sansa or Dany in the sunlight and on some green grass smiling and warm looking at their lover and children with happy music or birds chirping in the background. Bookmarked for bump in 4 weeks.

Real losses to the viewer and real losses to the characters are 2 different things

I couldn’t give a shite less about Dickon (hahaha), but that shite hit Sam hard

Now extrapolate that across the thousands who died last night

I think he was going to try and convert Bran like this. That has to be the only reason he'd go in person to kill him.

That or steal his powers somehow.

I get he wanted to delete the memories of humanity, but I think he could've done that and also used the new White Walker Bran as an asset in the war as he marched South.

Bran, like a baby, wouldn't be able to fight back while he was turning him.

Wouldn't they just immediately dispatch Arya to King's Landing to kill Cersei? Seems like it would be a walk in the park for her.

The shear amount of time you spend attempting to ruin this show for others speaks otherwise.

It is very odd.

GRRM wrote the books so that the heroes, the Starks, would have to go through misery and be sharpened, so that in the end, the survivors would ultimately prevail, but be forever changed by it.

He has gone on record many times as saying it will be a "bittersweet" ending.

You keep saying this like it means anything. GRRM didn't write this series and he didn't write this seasonand he's not writing the ending. Stop pretending this show is bound by anything GRRM did or cares about. It's not.

Bran's powers suck.

I was waiting for him to do something while the NK was approaching but he just sat there in his chair and didn't do shite.

book reader here, and I've never thought that the battle with the NK would be the final battle

Why would the final two books be title WoW and ADoS?

I’ve personally always thought that the White Walkers more served a purpose for how they (Jon and/or Dany) would take back the throne. They don’t win the Seven Kingdoms by conquering them, but by saving them, as the actual rulers of Westeros cower in fear behind their walls. Seems like this may be the set-up here for the end of Cersei.

I dont Think there was ever a chance of thinning the herd. Go watch Police Horses at Mardi Gras get pushed around by crowds. That’s basically what they rode into except the crowd was trying to kill them

there needs to be a class taught on these battles "if you save your mate during battle, don't engage in a long stare acknowledging it, someone will plunge their weapon right through you"

I'm half expecting this. If Cersei is hell bent on staying in King's Landing Daenery's will have almost no choice but to try and burn the city down-troops, common folk and all. This may be where lines are drawn and crossed and our "good guys" start dropping.

Bran hasn't figured them out yet I don't think. But he can certainly see everything that has happened and see the present with the crows.

The Night King would take advantage of those powers for war. Bran is just a huge pussy.

Everyone who asks this question so far is called an idiot for some reason.

There are only two logical courses of action now: Arya slaughters Cersei and her crew in their sleep at Kings Landing or Arya dies in the next episode.

Anything else will make no sense.

Cersei is just some dumb bitch. Arya snuck up, out witted, and killed a super natural magical god just now surrounded by his magical body guards. Surely she can go kill some blonde bimbo.

Were the police swinging swords at the crowd? Obviously it didn’t work in the show cuz undead army, but still

well its the same problem most super hero movies have, and let's face it, Arya is basically a super hero now

"why doesn't super hero A just use this unstoppable power to stop the bad guy?"

the general answer is that it doesn't make for very entertaining stories
