I probably would have waited until after the battle to tell Dany that though.

GOT isn't the first series to fall off a cliff (and get the same sorts of responses). i remember the exact same things being said when TWD was called out. the funny thing is, now EVERYONE hates TWD and it's acceptable to be negative about it. why? are all the people who abandoned TWD "miserable" because they quit?

I quit TWD when I stopped enjoying it. I did not continue watching and come into threads telling everyone why I didn't like it and why I thought the writing was stupid.

I think the 3ER can see the future to a degree as it currently stands. But I think that is subject to change based on individuals' actions as well as his influence on events.

I mean if Jon dies does it matter if he told Dany?

all brienne wanted as a character was to be viewed as an equal by her contemporaries. she accepted that she was never going to be formally knighted, but if she could be viewed as an equal, she would be fine. then go back to when she first went on her journey with jamie. all he did was shite on her and belittle her. even while she was more than proving herself as capable

This was even alluded to earlier in the episode when she comments this is the longest he had gone without insulting her. They telegraphed he was going to do something for her the entire time, though I thought it would be something during battle.

How else is he going to get that post count up? He has to keep that giant post lead over everyone.

As long as Sam and Bran die with him, it won't.

The overall lesson could be Jon relinquishing another crown for the good of the realm, something Dany would never have imagined otherwise...if she survives The Long Night II.

I have a question. Isn't Cersei basically banking on the humans winning the battle at Winterfell? She said something about after the battle having enough people to go clean up whoever's left. But if the WWs win, the army coming for her doubles. Seems like a pretty big mistake.

I think Cersei is probably thinking that if they lose to the WWs and NK, she'll take her Iron Throne and the iron fleet and go to Essos or the Iron Islands.

Hence, she is not the sharpest knife in the 7K.

I don’t think she fully understands the threat. The NK would have an army of a couple hundred thousand and maybe an additional dragon in that case.

I've never really interacted with him but I'm very familiar with his posting. My anger in that isn't necessarily directed towards him alone though. Every GoT discussion thread has essentially been mucked up by people who are doing the things I've been going back and forth about with him and it's just ridiculous.

Yes, it is ok to have negative opinions. I've had several issues with the show and have voiced them in previous threads. My issue is with people who have no interest in discussing what is actually happening in the show and simply want to tell everyone how much they don't like it now and how good it used to be.

I realize I am not helping the situation by continuing to reply and muck up the thread, but I had to express my displeasure. Let us move forward with our discussions.
