Winterfell has had it rough since the War of the Five Kings began.
1st Battle of Winterfell - The Greyjoys take the city from the Starks
2nd Battle of Winterfell - The Boltons "liberate" the city from the Greyjoys
3rd Battle of Winterfell - Stannis Baratheon is defeated by Ramsey Bolton
4th Battle of Winterfell ("Battle of the Bastards") - House Stark reclaims Winterfell from the Boltons
5th Battle of Winterfell - The Army of the Dead will attempt to wrest control of the city from the living

And yet both her and her character are legal so it's not CP

The more I watch this show the more I think no one is getting a happy ending.
Possible deaths aside, would these events surprise anyone:
Sansa survives and as the “Lady of Winterfell” enters into a loveless marriage with someone in order to secure peace/power (bonus points if it’s Tyrion).
Jamie/Tyrion survives, kills Cersei, and is made lord of Casterly Rock (a place they no longer want).
Jon survives but loses the second love of his life. With his heritage exposed he will be forced to take the Iron Throne which he does not want.
Arya survives but Gendry dies. She eventually returns to the House of Black and White, truly becoming “no one” at that point.
Jorah survives, but with Danaerys dead has no purpose. If the Night’s Watch is still needed he might take up his father’s role as Lord Commander. #1000
It just seems all too easy --nay, likely— to happen.

If in the episode you watched, Jamie(or Bran) mentioned that he killed Dany’s dad because the Mad King was going to brutally murder everyone in King’s Landing, then yes, you watched a different episode. In the episode I watched, that never came up.
Honestly, your response to what you quoted makes no sense. I’ll have to give it another watch, but I’m positive the reason for Jamie doing what he did never came up.

Can't find a good pic, but Sansa in the black armor made me harder than a giant's nipple.

That’s a conservative guess...I’d say they are going to attempt to completely wipe it from the landscape and kill everyone they see

This season is already worse than S7...I don't know if it's the writing, direction, or what but so many scenes just feel awkward, poorly acted, the timing is off, they don't flow, etc. And now we've had 2 redundant filler episodes in the final season of 6 freaking episodes? No chance in hell they're sticking the landing on this one. I'm watching to watch at this point, but I can already tell this shite's going to be a poor ending to what was a great show. I don't know what they were thinking, if you're going to stop at S8 you need more than 6 episodes to wrap this shite up.
Hopefully George can get the damn books out before he has a coronary since he's too busy doing talks and interviews to either write or use a damn treadmill.

I agree these last two episodes have been disappointing. I mean we waited two years for this? I get the first episode put characters back together that haven't been together in a long time but this last episode was not good. Sure it was great to Jamie and terian back together but all this lovey dovey shite come on.

Amazing episode. A rich man's version of episode 1.
Racking my brain to figure out whats going on with Bran. The "old friend" comment has to be related to Jaime killing the mad king. Somehow one of the TER's was involved in that hence Bran's comment.
Also.....I read through the entire thread to make sure nobody had mentioned it. With his hair either parted more or his hairline receding, The Hound, if you look at the northeastern quadrant of his face...looks like mother fricking JAMES HARDEN.

I still think Tyrion knows about Jon’s parentage

Cringe Sansa and Dany scene.
Emilia Clarke is just fckking terrible at acting. Her death can't come soon enough.

With all the Mad Queen talk, I still suspect we're setting up for Dany to eventually bend the knee to Jon.
Sam posed the question, "would she give up her crown for the good of all?" A lot of folks think this portends that she will go crazy, but it COULD be different...
She's pissed, but is trying to do the right thing. She listens to Jorah's counsel, to the point of specifically saying she needs Tyrion to stay alive at all cost. She goes to make peace with Sansa, and in the process admits that she's abandoned her goal to follow Jon. She wants the Iron Throne, but is learning that the North, at least, won't follow her. That's if anyone even survives.
Jon said "I wish it wasn't true", meaning he isn't turning on Dany.
It sets up that he will try to do the Maester Aemon thing (step aside), but she says no, you have to take the throne and remove Cersei or this falls apart.

I've tried to watch some of Emilia's movies on prime. She really is bad. She can't act to save her life.

WHY THE frick IS SAM GIVING VALYRIAN STEEL TO JORAH. WHAT.THE.frick.
It seemed like they are setting it up for Dany to possibly go mad queen and ask her trusted friend, who we were reminded that he had disappointed her before ... and we know he loves her and is probably jealous ... to take out Jon with his new Valyrian steel sword gifted to him by Jon’s best friend. Then Jorah has the tough choice as to whether he recognizes Dany has gone “mad queen” and takes her out like Jamie took out her father.

2 episodes and very few memorable scenes is disappointing, but last night was a perfect stage setter. People will be thankful in the end. Deaths are going to be nice and visceral.
