I don't think he needs a Weirwood tree at all anymore, though it may help strengthen his powers

I dont know why they made him such a weirdo.
The previous 3 eyed raven was a pretty normal acting/talking guy. Bran is just a straight zombie.
Either make him a little more normal or display his powers better to the audience, because he has become one of the worst characters on the show.

D&D are going to use Bran as the blunt force to move things along because they have left little time for transition in regards to wrapping things up.

I always attributed his space-cadet-ness to having to jump into the deep end of being the 3ER so quickly.

Have we talked about what exactly the Night King wants? Is his goal just to kill everyone? If so, why? If not, what is it he really wants?

It's been brought up in this thread. There are a number of theories.
He wants to kill Jon and Danny
He wants to kill all children of the forest
He wants to kill Bran/3 eyed raven
He wants to kill all living people
He wants permanent winter/night so he stretches reach throughout whole of Westeros.
Who knows?

Agreed on Bran. They took way too long building his story for it to have advanced so little.
I hate that the finality of this season is going to make for rushed plotlines. Some of it will be refreshing as some of the plotlines have been moving at glacial speed but I have a feeling that this whole season will feel rushed.
I think that they will kill off a good bit of the stars by the end with one of them being either Jon or Dany. You know she isn't going to be happy when Jon claims to be the heir.

Is she really going to have enough time to give birth this season? The White Walkers will be at Winterfell in a week. It takes roughly two weeks in the books to get from Winterfell to Castle Black, and the White Walkers don’t need to rest. They’re also already past Last Hearth. I guess it’s possible there’s some sort of time jump, but especially with Cersei being “pregnant” (that may be a lie) I don’t see where they’ll have the time to properly gestate a kid.
