I gotta say, this has been a pretty strong thread for not much happening.

Man it's not hat big of a deal. I didn't like the Ed cameo. Just felt super weird to me. GoT is my favorite show of all time, this doesn't change that one bit. But I can still say things I disliked about an episode.

they looked like members of a boy band...juxtapose those dudes sitting around a happy camp fire, sharing their food with arya, all sitting around giggling with the brotherhood with dudes like the hound grinding it out in that house.

then not only are there drinking laws in westeros, but they make sure to mind them...a 10 year old girl crosses Lannister soldiers in the woods on her way to kill cerseii and there was no tension. the whole thing was out of place.

first of all, arya wouldn't even go near them. they'd probably rape and kill her OR steal all of her shite.

so ginger pop star was the least ridiculous thing. I had that song from the breakfast club in my head.

if I had the star power and pull to get a GOT cameo, I would definitely be in a sex scene or killing someone.

That scene was weird

Guess it was supposed to humanize Lannister sympathizers

I have a feeling she will get sidetracked at some point and will head closer to Dragonstone or wind up North. I would find her in the North with Sansa or with the Brotherhood without Banners more intriguing than just watching her cross more names off her list.

Plus, it's a nice thought, her killing Cersei, but let's be real. She could never get that close

because presumably the entirety of the series could be bran's fault

bran made the king go mad, just like he made Hodor go dumb

I thought that scene was pretty cool. It showed that the wars are being fought by younger and younger people. Same with the kids in the north taking over their houses.

A whole generation is being lost to these wars.

I'm sure this has been answered already, but why do the White Walkers need to move south? Is it just that they move south to eat for the winter? If that's the case, what do they eat north of the wall during the summer? Wildlings?

Well a couple of different theories. One is that the Night King, and all WWs by extension, were created as a weapon against the first men by the Children. They continue that war even though men and the Children have made peace. Second theory is that he wants revenge on the Children for his creation. The WWs have arranged dead bodies in the shape of the stones surrounding the tree where he was created.

Or he is just evil and hates all life. Lastly it could be basically anything. We know very little about him or his motivation at this point.

It can't be that they are looking to take over land because they have to retreat north of the wall come summer, right?

It was my understanding that they don't move about when Winter has come...they are Winter.

The seasons can last years...my understanding was that the longer winters were a result of the WW taking longer to be defeated.

It's not a terrible theory it's just something that should not happen.

The Targs are known for incest which made them less mentally stable. They were plenty of crazy Targs long before the Mad King.

Also, SFP, do not speak ill of Hodor. I still can't rewatch that episode

Actually baristan Selmy explicitly says that in the books. He didn't reveal himself immediately because he wanted to observe if she was one of the crazy ones

Or it could be all 3. The Night King doesn't have to be solely motivated by just one thing. Maybe he wants to extinguish all men because that's what he was made to do, he also just generally hates men and also wants revenge against the Children of the Forrest

I never wonder why evil monsters want to kill men.
