quote:ned hears bran when he is at the tower for his sister. not clearly, he just looks over his shoulder as if he swears something is there...the night king can straight see or sense him. the night king is more than human, but regular humans have some sense of bran in the past.
Which either way, regular humans can't do and the Night's King was able to see him right there.
theories started burning up the place because presumably the entirety of the series could be bran's fault as others can sense him when he tries to interfere or speak to them.

I may be wrong but didn't we see a blue eyed raven in the trailer before episode 1?
Posted on 7/17/17 at 11:57 am to theBOSSman!!
Looked more like a Bran warged raven.

the night king may have any number of abilities of which we're unaware...including the ability to warg, it's just that nothing has been suggested thus far.
bran being a warg and the 3 eyed raven are loosely connected. if the night king could visit any moment from past to present, he'd be unstoppable as he could frick any moment in the past to benefit him in the present.

True, so maybe he's able to sense it, but just can't do it.

exactly, like a super sanity or the ability to see all, but not all moments of time past to present.
like I said, even ned faintly hears bran in the past. so it's basically a human sense but juiced to high hell because he's the night king.

I mean a flock of ravens with milky white eyes should probably set off alarms in anyone. Also he has marked Bran, so it isn't crazy to think he would sense the mark.

The second episode recap is published in detail on free folk Reddit if anyone is interested. For what it's worth the guy had def. seen the first episode he gave a scene by scene recap a week ago.

you are discounting the possibility that the nights king warged into ed sheeran in order to marry arya stark

Unless you're of the belief that the White Walkers were the ones who built the wall.

Pretty much everything leading up to that should have been the exact opposite.
1. Instead of Arya being oblivious to the danger and acting as if she didn't have a problem in the world, she should have been visibly nervous and constantly looking over her shoulder when buying a spot on that ship out of Braavos.
2. Instead of getting ambushed by the Waif because she wasn't remotely on guard, she should have been so paranoid of an attack to the point where she pulls Needle out on an innocent person. She shouldn't kill the person, but she should see everyone staring at her like she's a crazy person and the scene should end with her running to her hideout in tears.
3. Her final scene in the episode should have been her in her hideout, crying at first, but then getting up with a look of determination.
It should have been very clear that
a) she realizes she can't spend the rest of her life trying to hide from trained assassins who can change their appearance
b) she is about to confront the threat, once and for all.
In the next episode, she shouldn't have been tracked down by the Waif. Rather, she should have intentionally drawn her into a trap (I'm admittedly not sure what would be the best way to do this). I'm okay with their final showdown, but I would change the dialogue up. The Waif should be taunting her as she approaches, and her final words should be something to the effect of "You could never escape. No matter how far you ran or how well you hid, death comes for you", to which Arya should have responded ,"Not today", before extinguishing the candle (I'm not sure if people think that would be too cheesy, though).
Her final scene in Braavos should have been her confronting Jaqen H'ghar and basically acknowledging that she can't run from the faceless men forever and pleading with him to accept The Waif's face in place of her own (I may be reaching to think Jaqen would agree, but I could buy it because he clearly likes her and she had saved his life before). Instead of Jaqen saying "finally, a girl is no one," his final lines should have been agreeing to spare her but saying she can no longer stay with them because "a girl is not 'no one'", to which Arya responds "No. A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and she's going home."
Sorry for the long post, but I think that's better.

Other thread was right, show is becoming too predictable.

if I unpack that scene, a celebrity cameo was the least ridiculous thing about it. we did learn arya is headed south to kill cersei so it wasn't a total waste.

I'm sure this has been answered already, but why do the White Walkers need to move south? Is it just that they move south to eat for the winter? If that's the case, what do they eat north of the wall during the summer? Wildlings?
It can't be that they are looking to take over land because they have to retreat north of the wall come summer, right?
