This crap with the high sparrow is SO frickING STUPID. You have Jamie who has killed a king and various children, but he's afraid to even confront homeless Bernie Sanders because...? The Tyrells march an army into the city, with armor and big arse spears, but they won't face off against a couple dozen guys with robes and clubs. Lady Tyrell saying "He beat us." Are you fricking kidding me? Throw a spear through Bernie's heart and end this dumb bullshite. It's so frustrating!

Not sure if trolling.

I love the show and look forward to it every week but everything about this episode pissed me off.

Besides the Dany BS, this was my favorite episode of the season outside of The Door.

In the visions from bran you saw a lot of the mad king (targaryen), and I'm thinking the targaryen family with their dragons and valyrian steel were key in defeating the wight walkers before, and they follow up those visions with Sam taking a valyrian steel sword, and Dany showing obvious control of her dragons, thus heightening the wight walker war stakes.

They also snuck in a shot of young Ned's hand covered in blood beside a woman with a bloody abdomen. Of course, that's probably the worse kept twist in television history at this point.

I'm curious if Arya is leaving or quitting the man-E -face (anyone see what I did there) gods, what was the point of that entire storyline?

White Walkers and Wights are 2 separate creatures. White Walkers (Others) are the beings created by the CoF and Wights are reanimated corpses which do the Night King's bidding.

1) The King and Queen have aligned with "Bernie". And the leaders of the army there are the PARENTS of said K and Q. Not to mention, Tommen is Jaime's last remaining child who is alive. Jaime and Tyrell were NOT going to go to war in that moment against their own children

2) Because of the alliance, it was NOT Tyrell's army and Jaime vs Sparrows. It was that group against the King's army, the Sparrows, the peasants, AND any remaining loyalist armies that support the ruler of the Iron Throne (few as they may be)

It is NOT as simple as "throw a spear through Bernie's heart..."

1. Episode was weak only take away is that maybe Arya's story won't continue to suck but if she really is just leaving then wtf was the point of everything she did for the last two seasons?

2. Others have mentioned this but it's pretty crazy how pretty much no one gives a crap about the Iron Throne and anymore and how it seems to have no real power anyway. The whole first 4 seasons or so were dedicated to the battle over the throne and now it's pretty much and irrelevant side plot. So irrelevant that they've had to create this stupid High Sparrow crap just to keep something going on there.

I still love the show but it was much better when the Iron Throne and control over Westeros was the central focus.

1) it was a way to keep her safe...otherwise, the show would have to explain where she was, how she escaped.

1A) It gave her further training. I assume we will see the results of that in the future

1B) It taught her patience. Recall that until she went there, she was pretty reckless in her pursuit of her list.

2) I think the main idea is that the weak and feckless leadership has made it POSSIBLE for any of the "candidates" to take over and rule the Seven Kingdoms. If the Iron Throne had NOT been weakened, it would be hard to make a case for most of the protagonists to actually be taken seriously as a potential Sovereign.

Agreed. If they wanted it to take a back seat for a little while fine. But this high sparrow story is definitely dragging on. It's been at least what a season or season and a half of this?

Will be interesting to see what happens with Arya. I think we all knew she would fail that test. Hope she is still teamed up with the faceless man though in some capacity. Also I hope they aren't just total mercenaries and actually have a cause. I mean he found Arya in the first place so he wants her for something right?

Seeing as how he told the girl to kill her, I don't see much teaming up. And no, the faceless men are 100% for hire. He didn't go "find" Arya.

I just find it strange how they met in the first place but whatever. And as far as his order to kill her I'm hoping his motives are hidden. Not everything is always as it seems with him

It's still very relevant. Daenerys, the Starks, the Ironborn, and Dorn haven't been able to move to capture it because of other obstacles that must be overcame in order to achieve it.

Actually, the girl said "you promised me". So, I took it as a "bet" type thing. The girl likely said "If she fails this time, I want to kill her" and he has simply given her permission.

I can see Face-Dude simply saying (to himself) 'Give it your best shot. If you succeed, so be it. But, if Arya actually kills YOU....then she has more inside her than others see'

It is a test of the girl, perhaps, underestimating (and giving in to blind hate / jealousy) AND a test of the resourcefulness of Arya.

So maybe I'm wrong but the 7 kingdoms with exception of Dorne and a few very small pockets elsewhere are still loyal to the throne and combined would still field the largest army and have homefield advantage. We see the big picture of what is happening elsewhere, but I would bet 90% of the kingdom is still loyal to the iron thorne and would go to war to defend it.

So 2 things: 1) I think a lot of people still give a crap about a "maybe weakened throne", and 2) a majority of the lands and houses have no reason right now to want to get into a long, bloody, extended conflict. Yes, its obvious to most TV watchers that it will happen eventually, but to the everyday person, they probably are just living-their day-to-day and think everything is fine, or at least normal.

I think the faceless man leader is testing arya. She's pretty much lost to the older girl in just about every battle.

We have pretty much been led to believe that people in this "cult" should have no desires. It's the older girl's desire to kill Arya, which will ultimately be her demise.

Cult leader will show up and congratulate Arya on completing her training and scorn the other girl for not being able to put aside her emotions.
