The fight scenes have been good. The dialogue has been real spotty I think. This week's rough one imo was the dany scene

Holy shite. I didn't realize so many people disliked Sam and gilly since their departure from the wall

I'll let it slide since I was worrying we'd spend 3 episodes having Tyrion trying to lure Drogon in. Only cringible scene in the episode.

I hate the Sam storyline unfortunately Sam will be a hero at the end. That means he aint going away.

How is everything with Sam and Gilly not cringible?

They're not my favorites, but the dinner scene was great I thought. Yes, Sam's a wuss, but we've known that for a while. It's not comparable to say Dorne.

You have to admit the first 3 episodes did not set a positive tone for D&D moving past the current GRRM releases.

No? What do you mean?

Book readers couldn't of had a better episode even if D&D started jerking them off under the table while they watched it. You can't cry about them pulling the story closer to the books and cry when they change something from the books. Make up you minds guys.
How do you know? You've never read them.

I didn't think Sam was a wuss at all from that scene. I thought he was just biting his tongue so he didn't mess up Gilly and the baby being able to stay there after he left. He basically confirmed that when talking to Gilly, and then changed his mind and decided to bring her to Oldtown (as well as the Valyrian steel sword because he knows the need in the Great War to come).

I don't think Sam is scared at all of his dad anymore. After what he's seen at and north of the wall, he finally realizes living his whole life in fear of his father was silly.

I appreciate the Sam and Gilly story. I think it adds some levity to the story. It tells another side of things that is just not warring countries or supernatural happenings.

Whereas most of the show (and books) focus on the great nobles or powerful people of one sort or another, Sam and Gilly are true outcasts making their way and climbing in the world.

Do we think SAMs still going to olde town ?

It never made sense timing wise as it would take years to earn his chain. Could he instead haul back to castle black with some valyrian steel?

I think you misinterpreted me. I don't think he was being a wuss in that scene in particular, but I was thinking the fact that he at least acts like one pisses off some fans. Clearly stealing his father's sword takes a significant amount of balls.

I just can't believe people are ok with them cutting what they're cutting and skimping where they're skimping and then giving us 1/10 of this season based on Gilly and Sam.

Same, but God I hope Bran is not responsible for Aerys mental state.
