Do you really want a quick death that Brienne would provide, or something much, much worse that would take time for him to die?

Well if this show has proven anytbing, it's that the bad dudes usually don't get the death they deserve

I don't think there's a chance in hell that Stannis is Azor Ahai.

Tywin and Joffrey got the exact deaths they deserved, and I have a feeling in WoW, we're about to see several brutal deaths of the bad guys.

Joffery deserved much worse than Poison

Tywin would be the exception to the rule

Ehh, I just loved where Joffrey was killed. Just pathetically at his most triumphant moment, showing him and the world what a joke he was.

Tywin was much of the same, showing that he's completely full of shite and deserved to die for everything he did.

I never thought there was a chance. I always shook my head at the theories that Stannis would turn out to actually be Azor Ahai. Heck, I also shook my head and the thought of fAegon being him or one of the three dragon heads, a character that wasn't even introduced until ADWD. Jon, Dany, and Tyrion have always been the main characters, and always will be. But I never once thought that Stannis would turn out to be the Prince that was Promised.

Also I think Shireen getting burnt alive, pretty much squashed the chance of Jon snow getting revived by Mel

If Jon is the one few "good guys", it's hard to see him being revived by such evil

this, I see the Baratheon line as the enemy now. Hard to root for them over the Boltons.

But I have a feeling that the sacrifice will work, and the Baratheon army will take Winterfell. I don't see Stannis dying until next season.

Just watched. Welp, Stanis took a sharp turn in that episode. I'm sure that's going over well in here.

i really thought there would be more to the Shireen storyline than just her being sacrificed. As big a deal as it's been made about her greyscale, I thought she could have the blood of the dragon, or be a dragon tamer or something really cool. It's sad her life had to end the way it did.

Okay so I wrote this big long post talking about how the show has jumped the shark and how I hope viewership tanks and GRRM and D&D get tarred and feather IRL..

But then I remembered the red wedding, the purple wedding, and all the other messed up things that have happened in this show..the main difference between all of these happenings and this seasons (Sansa marriage rape, and Shireen's burning at the stake) is that we didn't know it was coming. Meaning we hadn't read it officially in the books and also those two characters are still safe and sound where we last left them in the books.

I also thought about how we would have reacted to this material in the books vs. seeing it with fresh eyes. I think we would all be more accepting of these tragic events had we been able to read and process it beforehand and our experience would have been much better with tonight's episode.

I was screaming at the tv during those scenes, I'm still very pissed off, but I think we all need to remember that this is what this show is about..the shock value. And I'm sorry but frick shock value, that's not why I read the books or enjoyed the show up till now.

Down with the sick pigs that thought this shite up and decided to film it.

Didn't like the sacrifice part. That was rough. Overall a pretty solid episode IMO. Good follow-up to last week, as difficult as that was.

How about neither. The Boltons brutally murdered the Starks. Ramsey is a psychopath. What is wrong with some of you?

I posted the ten second clip earlier. That was my "do not watch until 9 tag"
I said "frick Stannis" as well. I guess enough people expected this to happen if "frick Stannis" was enough for everyone to jump to conclusion and figure out the spoiler from "frick stannis"

Or like I suspect they acted like they figured out the spoiler and really clicked the marked link.
