Arya laughing was one of my favorite scenes of the season. I thought it was an incredibly realistic reaction for a jaded cynical character like arya. Every time they get near her family they died the day before.
It was wonderful.
It's also the reaction I have to pretty much every death at this point, so maybe that's why I loved it.
I also really liked Jamie and tyrion scene. They were trying to fake their way through a sense of normalcy while sitting in a dungeon with tyrion a sister and dad trying to put him to death.

Also because they went all that way because Hound wanted to get paid and now she's dead

I just have a very hard time believing a skilled and trained fighter who has been waiting for revenge for this long would have ever taken his eyes off the mountain.
His strategy implied that he knew he had to keep a good distance with his long range melee weapon. He had a plan and executed it fully. So I have an even harder time believing he would put himself within arms reach knowing the brute strength he possess. Regardless of the situation.
I also think the common misconception here is that he was being cocky and over confident....I think his intention was obvious. he needed to get the confession in order to justify killing Tywin. Which is why he obviously dragged out the process.
I think the problem is GRRM has probably never been in an actual fight and therefore had no personal experience to draw from. A real fighter is always on guard and never takes his enemy lightly especially in a fight to the death.

She was laughing because the Hound has dragged her all over creation looing for Arya's aunt in order to be paid and now she is dead. Basically everything he has gone through in this effort has been for naught.

I think this is the main reason. She was laughing more at the hound than anything else.
The only thing he wanted or cared about was the reward/ransom. Where as she has more that's driving her

GRRM is a short fat arse nerd. How much training do you believe he has had in close quarters combat scenarios? How many fights do you think he has been in? The story is fiction, and damn good fiction at that, and should be taken as such. Oberyn was very arrogant and it cost him. GRRM set him up for this from the beginning with his arrogant attitude. I believe it was well done.

Can someone explain to me the "snow" name.
Is John Snow related somehow to Ramsay Bolton or Ramsay "Snow"? Or is snow a name given to bastard sons?

Oh it's definitely great freaking writing. I realized that when I felt like an emotional wreck yesterday. .. this show and the emotional investment in it is unrivaled for me personally speaking.

No matter who you are, that much desire for revenge is essentially being emotionally "trashed" (as compared to being trashed from alcohol). Your inhibitions are much less on point and you lose focus.
Revenge especially. It just took Oberyn, those 2 seconds to get caught up in the moment and be caught off guard.
I surmise Jamie will be heavily involved in keeping Tyrion alive going forward.

This is correct

All the bastards in each kingdom have the same placeholder last name that identifies them as bastards.
Snow is the name for the north ones.

I get that.
And I even laughed along, it cracked me up.
But it was the execution of it that threw me off. It seemed out of character (for both Tyrion and Arya), which may have been the point. But regardless I was very aware I was watching a TV show at those points. It seemed disjointed and removed me from being submersed in the world, if that makes sense.

And daughters. Each Kingdom has a bastard name.
The North is Snow, Dorne is Sand. I can't remember the others right now. I think Highgarden where the Tyrells are from is Flower.

huh? people think the dudes dead when he was able to pop someone's head off? He only took a stab in the gut and a leg slice...right?
He was stabbed once, sliced the AT, then stabbed again. I think he's alive but that could definitely have killed him. That spear blade wasn't exactly narrow.

Not related.
People who are Bastards (either from "Royal" folk having kids with "non-royal" people, or just people who don't know their parentage), have last names based on the region where they are from. I know "Snow" is for people in the North, "Sand" is for people from Dorne, and I think there are "Rivers" and "Waters" but I'm not sure which regions are which.

Ok, so just to recap...
Right now, we have:
- Wildling army marching from the north and south of the wall. All 100,000 of Mance's men vs 102 Brothers in Black.
- Sansa lies to Lord Royce, and whoever those judges were in order to protect Baelish. It seems as though Sansa is buying into what Littlefinger is selling. That dress she was wearing was either her going into disguise as Baelish's "neice" or she's entertaining the idea of being his woman. (she did look a little like Catelyn)
- The Hound & Arya are finally at The Eyrie, only to find that there is likely no one here to barter Arya for. But what's interesting is, depending on what he decides to do now, we might finally get a real Stark reunion! Buuut, based on previous experience with this show....it would seem the Starks just aren't meant to be together.
- Oberyn proved how much of a bad arse he really was....only to die in possibly the most gruesome fashion this show has depicted yet...RIP Oberyn, you will be missed.
- Tyrion looks to be out of luck here. I hope something happens to save him...I just don't know how. Perhaps Jaime pulls a move. Or maybe Tommen steps in. He is the king, and as we saw with Jorrah, he has the power to pardon a man from his crimes. Fingers crossed for him.
- Daenerys is slowly learning how to rule. Sucks to see Jorrah get kicked to the curb. But he should have come clean to her before. Especially after Barristan Selmy showed up to her camp. Everyone seems to be cool with giant dragons flying around killing sheep and probably people...but whatever.
- Missandei...
- Roose Bolton looked to be heading towards Winterfell to sit as Warden of The North. Ramsay is still a creepy little shite.
- Theon/Reek looks to be lost for good. But I am curious to see if The Greyjoys and Ironborn decide to do anything about it.
- Stannis has his $$. And according to season 3 finale, his plans include going north; not to King's Landing, right?
- Bran is still heading further north beyond the wall with his band of merry men to find the three eyed raven/giant weirwood tree so he can warg some more.
- Hodor.
Anything else I missed?

I just find it lazy. The story gets bloated, then it gets purged by removing characters through death. It's a very easy device to use, and Martin seems to use it as a crutch to me.
This way is lazy. If the good characters always survived, like with most shows, that would be lazy and predictable too.
I don't get what would be acceptable, if that's the case?

I think Sansa is finally realizing that she needs to play the game as well. Keep Littlefinger on her side and stay alive. She knows he wants her so dress up nice and look pretty and stay cozy in a castle
