I'd say the story could be leaner across the board. Tyrion is the best character on the show, and one of the reasons is that he's had a dedicated arc every season.
In not trying to say we need a dedicated protagonist or anything. This show is about a period of time in a particular place and really isn't about any of its characters anyway.
I wish their was the strong building of competing coalitions that can challenge each other on a grand scale as opposed to relying on shocking deaths. S2 is my favorite season so far and a lot of that has to do with Robb as a legit threat.
I just feel like Martin let's the scope get away from him sometimes and then reigns it back in by killing a bunch of people.

Or maybe Tommen steps in. He is the king, and as we saw with Jorrah, he has the power to pardon a man from his crimes. Fingers crossed for him.

The only thing I could see Tyrion doing is heading over to Dorne if he survives as some sort of ambassador or to pay his respects for their loss.

I've been surprised at how many people are saying sansa is just now playing the game. She's the only stark who's shown she's smart enough to know when to sit down and shut up. It kept her alive for a long time in kings landing with no allies. I've been a big fan of her character for quite a while now.
I was happy to see her employ what I had thought about her in an active as opposed to a passive way once she had an opening and an opportunity.

Watched it three times.
I guess I'm the only one who thought Oberyn was a swarthy douchebag. His death was so awesome. I thought he might squirm out of it for a second, but when the mountain digs in and you know it's over, damn that was quality tv. I caught myself doing the Commodus tongue thing.
To me, it was pretty obvious that the mountain died, the way he flopped over after skull fricking the prince. Maybe I'm wrong, but if he died, how does that mean Tyrion is guilty? Isn't it a tie, or does the mountain win because he killed Oberyn first?
And at least Jorah is out of the friend zone. I assume that Tywin was responsible for that since the scroll had the hand of the king seal on it. I wonder where he'll go. He doesn't really have a place now.

Yeah, I definitely get the impression that towards the end of the series Sansa will really start kicking some arse.

I don't think there's any way they would. Too much of a fan favorite. You never know with GoT, though.
Death is always an option with this show. But I find it hard to believe they just cut off his head without something happening. Then again... Ned. I was waiting the whole time for him to be saved...

I understand the predicament she was in I just couldn't stand her. her scene when she told LF that she knows what he wants and her walking down the stairs was a complete 180 for her character and I loved it

I can see Arya/Sansa finally reuniting only for Sansa to continue playing the game by acting clueless who she is. Cause Arya to say frick this shite and leave on her own yet again.

That's what happens when you inbreed.
As far as Tyrion, I think the Mountain dies of his wounds before Tyrion is executed. So a draw is called. What happens then though? Another battle? They're definitely not above killing anyone at any time. So hell maybe they do kill him.

Well then he's out for the season. I bet Ingram did it.

The only thing dashing my hope that they call a draw and send Tyrion to the wall or some shite is that Tywin already sentenced him.

me too. i don't hate sansa but she's not a fave of mine by any means. she was a whiny bitch in season 1, then was the victim since then. so littlefinger sexes her ugly arse aunt and now she's seductively walking down the stairs to him. she's rather worthless to me- i kinda hope she and arya get into it eventually and arya guts her like a pig.
i still know a spoiler that better happen in these next 2 episodes or i'm gonna gut my friend who let it slip.
i am just into death now that my oberyn's dead- kill all those sons a beaches.

Yeah I really don't understand how this is not a draw. I have no idea what happens in that situation though.
So maybe the mountain is alive? Did he get poisoned? Was that squire wiping poison onto that blade?
