The only thing dashing my hope that they call a draw and send Tyrion to the wall or some shite is that Tywin already sentenced him.

here is the thing: people have been saying this since ned. there are always more good characters that he can create
People forget that Oberyn was introduced just this season... There will be more.

I think if Tommen chooses to he can do whatever the frick he wants. He could stand up and say Jofferey was and count and Tyrion is free to go. I expect to be disappointed so I'm not getting my hopes up anymore for certain characters.

It just sucks because he was my favorite not in the 1st season character that has been introduced since the Faceless Man.

hell, everyone was worried there were no good/cool characters and then oberyn shows up and wins your hearts. there are always more oberyns lying in the shadows

I liked Oberyn more because I thought the actor did a great job.

Tommen is the King, he can do whatever he wants. If he wants to pardon Tyrion and let him live peacefully, or send him to wall, or ship him to essos, or any other outcome you can think of....he can.
He could also just be a little bitch and hide behind Tywin. All I know is this is the greatest show ever created and I never want it to end.

I didn't really like it either. The reference to the Mountain and his "watch the world burn, kill for no reason" attitude that's great and all, but the audience has never really seen much of or cared about the Mountain, so zero fux given.
I agree what 2 or 3 posters said earlier, that in the world of Westeros, with all the senseless death and injustice going on, people have become accustomed to it. It's a way of life, a game if you will, and people have to choose whether to kill or be killed. The moronic cousin chose to crush or kill the only things lower than him. To assert dominance maybe. Tyrion released the beetle, choosing a moral and just route I suppose. I don't know, the way shite's been going, Tyrion may need to get his hands dirty, become the monster that he says he isn't. That, or Jaime better do something quick.
As for the lack of quality in their acting retarded in the scene, as someone said, I just took it as Jaime n Tyrion not wanting to go "full retard" in respect to their cousin. I could be wrong.
Also, I like how Sansa chose an ally whose witty, dirty and manipulative as opposed to the cliche noble, strong man. Little Finger may actually turn into a character I root for rather than boo. I like how this show can turn the tables in so many ways.
Afterthought on last week's episode: the queen of the Eyrie falling to her death sounded like MiniMe being shot into space in Austin Powers 2.

I've been team Littlefinger since the beginning of this season. Dude was been stirring shite this whole time, and basically running the game from the shadows.

Was Arya laughing bc Lyssa was dead or that she didn't believe it? Either way, story not advanced at all.

Or maybe Tommen steps in. He is the king, and as we saw with Jorrah, he has the power to pardon a man from his crimes. Fingers crossed for him.
The pardon of Jorah was from when Robert Baratheon was still king, not from Tommen.

quote:while i completely agree with you, Bron alluded to this earlier when Tyrion asked for him to Champion for him. He said, he can do everything right...except make one tiny mistake with a fighter like the mountain and he would die. ....Well Oberyn did everything perfect and made that one mistake.
I just have a very hard time believing a skilled and trained fighter who has been waiting for revenge for this long would have ever taken his eyes off the mountain.
His strategy implied that he knew he had to keep a good distance with his long range melee weapon. He had a plan and executed it fully. So I have an even harder time believing he would put himself within arms reach knowing the brute strength he possess. Regardless of the situation.
I also think the common misconception here is that he was being cocky and over confident....I think his intention was obvious. he needed to get the confession in order to justify killing Tywin. Which is why he obviously dragged out the process.
I think the problem is GRRM has probably never been in an actual fight and therefore had no personal experience to draw from. A real fighter is always on guard and never takes his enemy lightly especially in a fight to the death.

Thought it was obvious she was laughing @ the hound. How he traveled so far for her and the woman he was seeking the payout from was dead.

GRRM is a short fat arse nerd. How much training do you believe he has had in close quarters combat scenarios? How many fights do you think he has been in?
That's as ignorant as saying sports analyst don't know shite bc they are writers and not athletes...
