It can't be just to rescue him and return to the Iron Islands though, that would make his story line since he was captured pretty pointless other than to introduce Ramsay as the sickest bastard in Westeros.

I see it as, sort of, a parallel to Varys - see the beginning of that hate and allow it to build up to a point where Theon recovers enough to take revenge. The rescue may just be the first step in that. He's also had some time to reflect on his perception of Stark abuse, compared to the actual abuse inflicted on him by Ramsay. Of course, part of this is psychologically accurate - Stockholm syndrome, and all that, that he is bonding with his captors/abusers, which is fairly common and has an evolutionary basis.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ramsay kills Yara.

Crazy bastard vs. super dyke would be a nice battle.

And Arya...why tell the big guy with the big sword that you're gonna kill him? That's a great way to wake up impaled.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I took that as a humorous moment, not a serious one. It made me LOL

I feel like we are due for something depressing to happen after all of the bad guys dying recently.

Me too, like I said earlier this show makes me paranoid and with all the good fortune for the good guys in this episode something jacked up has to be on the horizon.

From the previews for the next episode, Yara is coming to the rescue, so hopefully something happens with that.

Ramsay is the kind of character that I assume will live on and become a major player because he's that evil and twisted.

Not sure about Yara. I do not predict her rescuing Theon or killing Ramsay. Considering "the good guys" appear to be "winning" more lately I suspect someone like Ramsay will endure to troll the audience

I think she was serious. She still hates him for killing her friend.

I agree about something bad on the horizon. Probably Tyrion related, because he's one of the most likable characters on the show, and we can't have likable characters living too long

She 100% wants to kill him. She still hates him for killing her doughboy friend.

And I love how leery we all are because we know GRRM (AND THE HBO SHOW MANERS, UMrealist) are incredibly trollish and are setting us up for disappointment. Every other post on this page is "something bad is about to happen" or something like that. It's one reason that I love being a hodor and not knowing what's coming down the pipeline...I can't wait to be shocked.

Oh, and that reminds me. Last night, I definitely yelled out "Holy shite!" when Karl was talking to that Craster chick and Jon's knife came flying out of his mouth. I knew it was coming, but wasn't expecting it through his mouth. That shite caught me off guard a little bit.

She was definitely serious, but it was also humorous to the audience and to The Hound. He's not the least bit afraid of Arya and her dancing.

A nice grim twist would be if Theon kills Yara on Ramsay's orders and proves hes really messed up with no turning back. I agree that we are due with something depressing.

The way the show is, that almost wouldn't even be a twist.

Really? I thought it was pretty great for the most part.

I agree that she's as serious as someone her age can be. However, she's already fought alongside The Hound. She's actually learning from him. She may end up placing more of the blame on Joffrey where it belongs. Perhaps The Hound comes to a moment where he can explain himself and ask her forgiveness.

If they do end up cooperating in killing The Mountain - maybe she'll make peace with him. Times change. People change.

In any event, they comprise one of the strongest relationships in the series at this point.

Most of the strong relationships have a Stark - Jon and Sam, Arya and the Hound, Bran and the Reeds, Rickon and Osha -- Sansa being the "least" Starky of the Starks, notwithstanding.

Only Tyrion and Bronn appear anything like as strong, although Brienne and Pod have the makings of a strong relationship going forward.

Would be cool if they keep hating each other but have each other's backs. Like if they run into the Mountain and Hound kills him. If that happened, then Oberyn would prolly be pissed (since he wants to kill the Mountain) and would maybe go after Hound, and then Arya steps up and kills Oberyn to defend Hound. Would be cool if they keep going back and forth like that (same thing happened sort of when they went into that tavern where she got her sword back).

Two of the best deaths so far in the series in that episode.

God, can Cersei just die already? Its like her bitchiness increases exponentially each week.

The Hound ask Arya to forgive him? Not bloody likely. He already made his case to her and one of the things he said in his defense that did take Arya off guard was he saved Sansa. I think when they get to the Eyrie Sansa will confirm that The Hound saved her and that will get him off the list. Assuming they ever get to the Eyrie...

I don't know about this. In several season previews, it looked like Oberyn was fighting the Mountain. I think he will get a crack at him.

I don't see how that's possible. I don't see both Oberyn and the Mountain living from that fight they are going to have.
