They did. All of the kids have blonde hair. Baratheons always have black hair.

Tommen's actor was recast. Cersei's kids (with Jaime) are all supposed to be blond.
Cersei actually did have a son with Robert, and he had dark hair. He died in infancy though.

I rewatched again a couple times last night. My theory is it was the cake/pie. No one was shown taking a bite of the pie, and Joffrey scarfed it down. If this is the case though, it seems like a stretch that no one else in the reception would have taken a bite of it yet. And whoever was behind the attempt would have ideally wanted a lot of people dead, not just Joffrey.
The wine seems almost impossible to pull off especially if you don't think Tyrion was involved in any way. Joffrey took a drink of the wine after it had gone under the table, then set it down to cut the cake. It would have had to be laced in between this time unless it was a delayed poison.

Someone reminded me of the assassination attempt on Melisandre in season 2 using apparently the same kind of poison that Joffrey died from. It was pretty instant death and not delayed.

Also, Cersei has possessed poison before, during the siege. I believe it broke when she dropped it (when her father came in), but just remembered that she had it.

I'm starting to think King Douche's death is a multi family conspiracy and not a revenge killing. I still don't know what the Tyrells motive is though. Tywin obviously thought Joffrey was unhinged and a danger to the families rule. I'm coming around to Sansa being a patsy but kept safe anyway because Lannisters always pay their debts and Jamie is in debt to Cat for his freedom thus Tywin is in debt for the return of his son.
