Agree to disagree.

In fact, I'd say if any Lannister was going to kill him Cersei would be last in line.
Jaime clearly hates him, to the point where he is beginning to hold it against Cersei.
Tywin knows what a shite he is and how awful a king he will be, maybe thinking he will taint his name.
Tyrion is obvious, but I think its clear he's innocent.
Cersei...I just don't see it.

I just watched the scene again...no way the grandmother did it...she is just too far away for no one to see her.
On re - watch I think it could be sansa....she wants to leave right before it happens. She had her hand over the cup too.

There is also an armored guard literally standing between the grandma and the goblet.

Watch it again...A servant brings cersei a fresh glass of wine...not out of the decanter. She was not drinking out of it.
Not sure what it would mean since Joffrey s wine was not supposed to come out of the decanter...but it's very odd if you go watch the scene again

That's fine, but Olenna CLEARLY takes the thing off the necklace if you watch again. And her comment about killing people at weddings is just so blatant.
Somehow, she got that little motherfricker in that cup. Or at least that's what we're being led to believe

First, if Sansa did it she'd want to watch him die. That would be pure revenge.
Second, IF she wanted to leave, she could have when he started choking. The fool had to take her away or else she would have just stood there.
And none of that explains the necklace thing, which she clearly knew nothing about because it was given to her by surprise.

If Cersei did it, they are going to have to explain A LOT because right now I cant think of any good evidence pointing that way from the plot or tonights episode.
And again, how are the writers going to explain all the things they did to make us believe it was Olenna if she isn't involved? The entire bit with the necklaces last week and them reminding us of it this week would be utterly pointless in every way.

Ok..the grandmother did take it off her necklace...When she walks away she appears to not be holding it though.
Posted on 4/14/14 at 2:53 am to Tiger Attorney
She wouldn't have risked dropping it in the decanter, given that she wouldn't be able t guarantee Joffrey was poured wine from any particular one and someone else might have been poisoned.
I don't know exactly how she did it, everything else fits.

Could have given it to her granddaughter
Why is cersei getting servants to bring her fresh glasses of wine...When there are decanters full everywhere. Her wine came in from elsewhere

You're right, we are certainly being led to believe that she had everything to do with it.

Best ending ever. I was literally begging for Joffrey to die as I watched the ep tonight.
I appreciated it. Some people are too sensitive.

If you paid attention to the South Park Song of arse and Fire episode, you would remember that Joffrey's death is mentioned by George RR Martin.
It's just before

Vary says he serves the realm...but why do it at Joffrey s wedding?
Varys also lost one of his best spies to Joffrey, remember? Joffrey killed Ros(sp?), brutally. He is seeing all of friends and allies being hurt or killed. Maybe he had enough. But I'm not ruling out Cersei either. I agree that she pointed the finger too quickly. I cannot wait until next week!!!

I click this thread, and the second post I see is:
Fanfrickingtastic. This feels familiar..
Anyway, sweet episode. I knew Joffrey would have to die at some point, just didn't expect it to be this soon. But as glad as I am to see him go, it sucks too because he was SUCH an awesome character to hate. I'll actually miss cursing at that shitstain.
As for whom it could be that did it...I'm thinking either Cersei, Tywin, Oberyn, Sansa, or Old lady Tyrell/Margaery. My #1 is Cersei based on her actions (about the leftovers) and especially Jaime's comments to gayboy Loras like he knew what was up. I don't think Tywin would really do it because he's in charge anyway, but I wouldn't put it past him. Sansa, because she touched the cup too (assuming it was the cup/wine and not Joff's piece of pie that was poisoned). Could be the Tyrells because Margaery was now in the royal family, but I don't know how that shite works though. And Oberyn has openly stated that he wants to kill Lannisters, so he's obviously in the mix. I really don't think Tyrion did anything.
BTW, that was a pretty fantastic scene...it seemed pretty realistic of how someone poisoned would die. I can't wait to see what nice guy role Jack Gleeson does next to show people he's not really Joffrey IRL.
Obviously the second, smaller sword that Tywin had smithed was for Joffrey.
No Arya and Hound made me sad, but I figured they wouldn't be on last night.
Glad to see Shae's annoying arse leave (I hope she was really on the boat and gone). She is horrible. But since we didn't actually see it onscreen, I assume she isn't gone.
Oberyn's converstaion with Cersei and Tywin was pretty hilarious.
I'm interested to see what's really up with Theon...I feel like he's biding his time to make a move.
The conversation between Olenna and Tywin was pretty awesome...it's cool to see two old arse people converse knowing how much shite they've had to get through (and pull on their own) to be in the positions they are in at old ages.
So after two episodes, we've been updated on:
1.
- Tywin (still being a fricking badass and forging swords out of Stark's fallen sword, to which he begrudgingly gave to his unable-to-clap son)
- Brienne (in KL with Jamie, and serving Margaery, and being the butt of Grandma Tyrell's bullshite)
- Jaime (in KL, back "with" Cersei, still in the Kingsguard, adjusting to life with one hand, still trying to get down with some incest) ...
- Cersei (COOOOOLD-BLOODED, still pissed about having to marry gayboy "pillow-biter" Loras, and being a triflin' ho toward Jaime)
- Joffrey (still a penis, despite having only a few lines)
- Sansa (still whining about everything, still pissed about being trapped in KL and married to Tyrion)
- Tyrion (still an imp, still trying to get Sansa to warm up to her marriage to him, still trying to keep that ho Shae in line, and not wanting her to even sick his duck...that was strange)
- Shae (still not understanding jack shite and hating all over Tyrion and waltzing all up in his room and get all up on his jammy even though he keeps telling her not to...her English must still be shite)
- Margaery (still has a weird arse smirk on her face, preparing for her royal wedding to asshat Joffrey)
- Grandma Tyrell (still being a boss bitch and trying to get some nice ice to rock for the wedding)
- Wildings/Ygritte/Tormund Giantsbane (still planning to assault Castle Black, now joined by the Thenns [?], Tormund is accusing Ygritte of letting her side piece slide when shooting him with several arrows)
- Jon Snow (back at Castle Black and magically healed from his thrice-arrow-shot altercation with his crazy ex, isn't getting punished for his interaction with the wildlings/free people despite some of the council wanting him to be, told the council of the Wildlings' plan to attack the castle)
- Daenerys (struggling to control her dragons now, still getting a shite-ton of exercise walking across a continent trying to build a slave army, whined less this time than in times past)
- Arya (still chilling with Hound and getting into trouble, finally got her sword [Needle] back and merked the dude who stole it, sort of likes the Hound even though she still hates him too, now has her own horse)
- Hound (still step-childing Arya, still talking shite to pretty much everybody, still being a badass and backing it up, seems to be trusting Arya a little more since he gave her a horse now, still headed to the Vale to deliver Arya to her Aunt Lysa there)
2.
- Theon/Ramsay (Theon now goes by Reek and is basically a slave to Ramsay and obeys his every command, Roose commands them to head to Moat Cailin to take it for the Boltons)
- Bran/Hodor/Jojen/Meera (beyond the Wall still, Bran wargs too much nowadays and that could leave him in a state of not remembering his human self, they see an important tree and he wargs and now knows where they have to head)
- Varys (still creeping around K'sL, warned Tyrion that Cersei/Tywin are gonna merk Shae, causing Tyrion to dog her out and call her a ho and ship her away)
- Jaime (still down for incest, and threatening Loras to not marry Cersei, still sucks at protecting the king)
- Cersei (still a beeyotch)
- Joffey (married finally, but then...he gone)
- Brienne (Cersei is all like "Brienne and Jaime sitting in a tree.."...Brienne doesn't deny it)
- Stannis/Melissandre (she is still cold-blooded as well, having innocent people - including Stannis's bro-in-law - sacrificed to the fire god, Stannis still being a bitch - I hope that ends soon - Davos needs to step up, Melissandre visits Shireen and starts telling her some bullshite about the gods)
- Tyrion (finally told that ho-bag Shae to peace the frick out, embarassed at the royal wedding, and now arrested for killing Joffrey at Cersei's command)
- Sansa (asked to leave the wedding by some dude who pulls a Terminator ["come with me if you want to live"])
- Margaery (still has a weird arse smirk on her face 24/7)
And we still haven't seen:
Petyr Baelish
