re: Game of Thrones- Season Long Thread (Newbie Guide in First Post)

Yeah...thats what im gonna do. Im going to read until I catch up with the show each week. i love visual stimulation but the books have more detail so im getting the best of both worlds.

I can feel definite GoT addiction creeping into my life, much as I try to deny it... the subtle signs are there, if you know what to look for, like muttering "oh, seven hells" when I can't find a parking space at Lowe's or looking at the neighbor's huskie suspiciously and wondering when the last time a direwolf was seen this far south of Busch Gardens... But seriously, Old Nan is starting to narrate my thoughts and when the kids are harassing me for their breakfast in the morning, I have to stop myself from yelling, "The others take your poptarts!" Maybe I should put the book down for a few days and stop watching repeats of the show On Demand...

Can someone link me to the map of westeros where you can zoom in and what not.....I can only find a regular one where you can't zoom or anything.

Sam is one creepy looking motherfricker.

I'm going to admit, this would make me a little sad since he's the one Lannister I can tolerate.

The Mountain gets some screen time. (For those of you unfamiliar with Gregor Clegane... hang on to your helmet!)

Lady Stark drops the boom on Tyrion Lannister.

Solid episode.

Havent read the books, not going to

Regardless, I'm enjoying the show so far. Is it just the show, the actress, me, or is it in the books? - but Lady Stark is one of my least favorite characters so far. At least with the bleach blonde prince dude, we're supposed to despise him. Is she as annoying in the book as she is on screen?
