I'm sure the Tournament isn't over with yet.
Showing Gregor Clegane in this episode will build a little suspense for his reappearance later... and his matchup with the Knight of Flowers.
I'm looking forward to seeing Loras Tyrell myself. Always been a favorite character of mine.

Lady Stark is one of my least favorite characters so far. At least with the bleach blonde prince dude, we're supposed to despise him. Is she as annoying in the book as she is on screen?
Catelyn Stark is a complicated character.
I will just say to look at it this way... try not to view any one character as "good" or "bad," and you might enjoy them a little more. It's sort of necessary in this series.
The thing I've found helpful when reading Catelyn Stark is to realize she's more of a creature of the South than the North... and she has a history behind her that's pretty deep. She has a history with Ned's late brother, with Littlefinger, with her sister... all of this is pretty important stuff. Her family, the Tullys, are also major players.
I don't really find her all that annoying, but a lot of people do, so it doesn't surprise me that you have that reaction to her. She sets a lot of wheels in motion, though, so she really can't be a character that's not strong-willed and somewhat polarizing.

Think he's referring to sansa with referncing joffery. and she's one of the most polarizing characters in the books and not many ppl were fans of her early on. She's extremely naive and her head is full of fairy tales

I wouldn't say Sansa is polarizing unless there is one pole and it is hate.

Was glad to see them finally get a little of Bran's dream and the three eyed crow, and Ghost finally

Haven't reached that point in the book yet, so this is pure conjecture, but it seemed to me like the killing of the previous Hand's former squire in the tourney by the Mountain was intentional to make sure he stayed quiet.

no - not at all
she's a spoiled brat that as far as I can tell, hasnt had much impact on the story that I'm watching week to week - I'm sure her role will change
I'm talking about mom - I just dont like her. My first reaction is that I just dont like the actress(for whatever reason) but I posed the question because it may be that the character is a bitch - I wanted to get the word from someone who's read the book(s)
...and to SPQR - thanks, that was a very insightful response, I'll keep my mind open as the weeks go by

the squirrely fricker with the hot sister & the horse king
he - it's understood is to be an unlikeable character from the start- an antagonist
but as a casual observer, I would suppose that the wife of the protagonist (with a ill-fated young son) - appears to be a character I was to "like"
but increasingly, I dislike her more and more as the weeks go by

That's the tricky thing with the series... the characters you feel a natural inclination to like or dislike... that's not always how it goes. Things change.

That ziggy post was brilliant, well done. I choked on my doritos and beer laughing.

Gotcha. Like mentioned a lot of the characters are not typical in that there are "good guys" that are not likable and the sometimes it's the opp with the bad guys, ie the dwarf

That is what is great about the Song Of Fire And Ice series. Very few characters are black and white. Most are grey

whos the eunuch they mentioned?
king roberts bastard son, would that be from neds sister or is it just a random bastard?
Spoiler question (i guess)
will we see the dothraki army fight this season? or is that a huge on going thing in the series?
