You use that term very loosely when talking about Gadot.

You got downvoted by hardlegs, but it's true. She's really not a very good actress.

I’ve always found it hard to believe that Greek men were just constantly fricking other men and boys just Bc it was socially acceptable. It doesn’t make sense to me. Even if socially accepted, straight men simply don’t want to frick another man. It’s socially acceptable in modern America yet gay men are a small percentage.

True. I’ve not seen her in anything besides Wonder Woman but the acting in The Boys is better. All the supe women in that show are much better.

You know how difficult it was to cast someone even remotely to their liking on ancient coins?

It's not inaccurate. He was not a great looking guy.

Maybe.

Keep in mind though that all the characters in The Boys are nuanced to the hilt - no one is supremely good or supremely bad.

Wonder Woman was basically supposed to be innocent, pure, and absolute goodness. Only so much you can do with that. (Why I wish the writers had stuck to the comic character a bit more. She has shades of gray - but it's also possible they felt she had to be like that because normally that's Superman's role, and the Snyderverse Superman just wasn't that.)

Marc Antony, the most powerful man in Rome, traveled across the sea to frick her. He sacrificed his position, and relationship with Octavian for what ended up being a lover's suicide pact with Cleopatra.
He and Octavian hated each other. Antony was Caesar's heir apparent for years, but Caesar had banished him from Rome more than once for incompetence (he was apparently the laziest person in the world, though a great fighter) and may have been the one who got Caesar killed. Caesar also left everything to Octavian when he died.

They used each other to defeat Brutus and Cassius, but after they had gained control of Rome, it was only ever going to end one way. Yes, Antony was said to be in love with Cleopatra, but what he (and she as well) really wanted was to take control of Rome and leave it to Cleopatra and Caesar's son, Caesarian. He'd even written that into his will.

Caesar Augustus is one of the greatest leaders in human history. It's a shame HBO pulled the plug on Rome when they did. Octavian's full arc across four or five seasons would have been a sight to behold. Instead they had to rush the ending.

That's Augustus. His full name was Julius Caesar Augustus, so I think it gets mixed up sometimes. This is Julius.
