He had tons of potential but hasn’t been in much of the second half

I guess we won’t get the point of him and the whole 1600s storyline

Daymn! What a perfect ending to tonights episode.

Excellent use of an Allman Brothers classic. That opening bass riff was superb for that scene!

I agree. Great season!! Ole Munch's redemption arc made for a great ending.

Very good season. As Fargo as you can hope for. Will give it a few weeks and binge watch again to see what I've missed or forgotten.

The most anticlimactic ending to a season yet but easily one of if not the best. I expected Ole Munch to shatter the glass bottle, lunge for Dot and then we have our fight to the end but part of me wondered if if they would go with a redemption and happy ending out of left field and they did….with Bisquick…

Would of been nice to see Gator a year later

Honestly, I hated it. What a crap fest for a season finale. Should have turned it off after they killed Winston. Don’t pussify it and let Munch finish what he started. We deserved the tiger. We got gator.

Wonderfully surreal finale. 15 minutes of finale followed by an awesome 45 minutes of epilogue. That prison visit was perfection. The drawn out redemption of the sin eater was funny, touching, and the needed closure.

“Haircut like the Three Stooges” is my quote of the week.

My only regret is that the golfer husband went away too soon.

I need to watch it again, but I give the finale a B- on first watch

At the end of episode nine it looked like World War III was about to happen, and then we get no pay off? The FBI just killed everyone and we don’t get to see it?

Also, the black dude having John Ham dead to rights 15 feet in front of him and does nothing? Why didn’t he shoot him? At least in the leg.

Would have liked more closure on gator.

Someone explain the sin eater scene like I’m five. So he’s no longer a killer? Are they adopting him like Harry and the Hendersons?

I’d still be shitting my pants if I knew that freak was in my house or out there and he could snap at any minute

Me too. On first watch it was underwhelming, espcecially considering the first 5 minutes has Roy quickly cutting the throat of his father(??). I expected more than Dot shooting him. There were multiple opportunities for drawn out tension to build between Roy and Dot, Roy and his son, etc. and it sort of went "Wah, wah, waaaah..."

The final scene made me laugh when Munch eats the biscuit and starts grinning with joy, which was a very Fargo like ending, but the complete lack of drawn out suspense leading up to that point was deflating.

Season 5: B
Season 5 finale: D+

Also Dot shooting Roy where she did despite him being 8 feet in front of her is unrealistic

Seemed true to character to me. He always seemed to be a cop to help people but never seemed to be very aggressive. He always seemed timid when violence was a possibility. Would have been a better social worker than a cop.

I’m confused that some of you are surprised we didn’t get a traditional shoot em up ending. It’s Fargo, it’s more often going to take a quirky turn than not. My only complaint was that I wanted see the golfer husband die a horrible death.

Father In Law. He was the leader of the local militia and married off his daughter to Roy as a sort of power pact but was shown to be a nag more than an asset.
