If they give us a mixture of the last two Mortal Kombat movies then it will be great. Hopefully they took notice on what works and went from there.

Hard to tell from a quick teaser but some of that felt a little closer to the marvel style “umm guys, did that just happen?” Style humor than MK

I’m not crazy about their take on Blanka in that clip. The sort of surfer dude Yoda vibe isn’t what I’d picture for Blanka. It just seems like Blanka would be more animalistic (and maybe more serious?) I guess. But maybe they can make it work.
I love the fighting though. Seems to fit the game play pretty closely, which is what you want (and what the new MKs did so well).

I think this is going to be 10x better than what the recent Mortal Kombat movies were. The recent MK movies were entertaining enough, but I just got the feeling most of the actors were almost embarrassed to be there and weren’t fully leaning into the cheesiness and fun and so you get this awkward half actually trying to act/half trying to ham it up. Compare that to the Street Fighter trailer where everyone looks 100% bought into their characters.
Street Fighter -HBO quality and understanding of the source material (it’s a video game for crying out loud-why do so many studios fail at making video game movies? It ain’t rocket science)

I prefer the 90s MK movies to the new ones. The first one was ok, second one was mostly bad. The fighting in this Street Fighter clip looks game accurate, which is a good start, but the little bit of dialogue we heard from Blanka doesn't work for me. This movie still looks better than MK2 at least.

The plane crash happened when he was a kid. He grew up by the time Street Fighter II came around. Momoa face looks and sounds ridiculous but it still fits the campy nature of the movie. I'm all for it.

There’s a line in the trailer directly referencing her thighs. So I think we’re good there.
