I wouldn’t have thought Boomhaue would age the worst of these fellas. Bill looks exactly the same.

Apparently Toby Huss is no longer voicing Kahn but will stay to voice Dale.
Thanks, clown. You're a fricking freedom fighter.

The thing I respect about it is that it is set in the South and pokes fun at southern culture, but does it in a respectful way where you feel like, as a southerner, you are in on the joke.

And Hank Hill is a decent man, and a caring father. He takes pride in his propane career and his lawn.

He's a damn fine American.

You could also do a lot worse having Peggy Hill as a wife and mother.

It's nowhere near as cynical as most Mike Judge creations (and I love just about all of them--I think I'll find B&B funny when I'm 90). KOTH has the biggest heart of any of them.

Hank Hill:
So are you Chinese or Japanese?

Kahn Souphanousinphone:
I live in California last twenty year, but first come from Laos.

Hank Hill:
Huh?

Kahn Souphanousinphone:
Laos. We Laotian.

Bill Dauterive:
The ocean? What ocean?

Kahn Souphanousinphone:
We are Laotian--from Laos, stupid! It's a landlocked country in southeast Asia. It's between Vietnam and Thailand, okay? Population 4.7 million.

King of the Hill was one of the greats. Just fantastic all around.

I'm guessing it was "problematic" because he's white.

That was exactly the problem. The same people who complained about this also complained that the voice actors who play women on bobs burgers are men.. so nauseating.

I am stoked for the new show. So much new material to work with since the show ended. I imagine we will hear the word asinine several times

Most sitcoms have the father figure being an idiot.

King of the Hill is the opposite. Hank has quirks and get into things at times, but the dude is a great role model and more times than not, right.

You left out the best part. After alll that Hank asks again….”So are you Chinese or Japanese”

I was telling my 19-year-old son the other day that he needs to watch the original series with his free time this summer. The thing I respect about it is that it is set in the South and pokes fun at southern culture, but does it in a respectful way where you feel like, as a southerner, you are in on the joke.
Replace "southern" with "Texan" and I agree with you.

Hoping that doesn’t change with the reboot.

We should get 3 to 4 episodes of Johnny Hardwick‘s Dale which is awesome but also presents a more sudden problem when transitioning to Toby Huss. I’m wondering if they switch him to something like an electrolarynx a la Ned from South Park. I’d rather they just blame the voice change on surgery or something.

One of my favorite Cotton moments was when he first meets Khan and Dale says he's Japanese and Cotton immediately says no he's not he's Laotian. And Kahn just looking completely speechless

Not only that - Peggy is actually presented as an indefensible bitch.

I hope he can pull it off. It will be tough replacing Johnny Hardwick.
