Couple of notes:
1. Ryan Murphy was a terrible story teller in the early 2000's too
2. Did the actor that plays Matt McNamara frick someone over? Every season they mad him more ridiculous.
season 1 - gets cucked by a lesbian
season 2 & 3 - falls in love with a post-op tranny
season 4 - becomes a scientologist
season 5 - becomes a crackhead
season 6 - becomes a fricking mime, convict, and prison pin cushion
3. in a show that is absolutely horsehit and completely unbelievable, the most unbelievable thing to happen is that every single character in the show moved from Miami to Hollywood somehow.

The first two seasons were terrific, thoughtful television. After that it became absolute shite. I’ve never seen such a steep drop off.

Way ahead of his time.
The surgery when they did without anesthesia and had the acupuncturist come in and "numb" the patient was by far my favorite one. I'm sure the medical board would have no problem with that.
