Filming underway on Severance S3

It should be really easy to film this. Just film the actors moping around white hallways. Could wrap it up in 12 hours

It takes what it takes for a reason.
These are essentially four movies rolled into one, so it's months of editing, color correction, vfx work and score. That's at least 6 months added to what can be 6 months to a year of filming. Then to do it again adds more time to assemble all actors schedules, stage space and locations, script approvals and casting takes time.
Real world example.
White Lotus Season 3 scouted asia in summer of 23 to early fall.
Prep began on the ground in Thailand in November.
Cameras rolled February 6th 2024
Cameras wrapped August 14th 2024
Editing, score, color correction etc until Christmas.
Premier Episode Feb 2025
Season Ended April 2025
That is almost a 2 year window for Season 3
Then the next season starts casting, location scouting, writing etc.

Yes. I love this show. I am not criticizing.
But like 3 years every time in between seasons is quite a lot.
I realize in this streaming era new seasons are never promised so they don't even start working on the next sometimes for months after the previous one aired. But this show is a lock to be renewed, and the creator has most of it already mapped and written out, giving it a big advantage. Obviously not in script form but still.

I need to watch this show. But you aren't wrong really. I recall distinctly a prop person in 2021 telling me about the show as they had wrapped a month earlier.

You would know better than any of us but I do kind of agree that the timing is absurd. White Lotus is different in that each season works as a standalone and has an entirely new cast, location, and story.
Severance took three years in between release dates. It has 10 episodes per season. What makes it so much harder to do than a show lie LOST that had 20 episodes a season and came out a year later. Or even The Expanse that had 10-13 per season and did a yearly release.

Probably a Stiller thing. He knows he has Apple in his pocket after the success. He has other things and can take his time.
He's lightened up a bit, but historically difficult.

Is the setting the same from season 1 to 2? If that's the case, I'm sure those sets were sitting ready in Queens or Jersey. So yeh.... for that show, it could be considered a bit much, especially with a few actors.

Enjoyed season 1. Season 2 lost me somewhere after the first 3-4 episodes and never went back.

I thought season 1 was one of the best seasons of tv I have seen. Season 2 was kind of disappointing for me. It started being weird just for the sake of being weird, if that makes sense. Hopefully season 3 gets back to that season 1 formula.

Come on JW, I'm disappointed that you haven't seen Severance.
For the most part the sets for season 1 and 2 were the same regarding the workplace and homes. They had some episodes that were in nature for season 2.

I think Apple TV is pound for pound the best streaming service out there, but I just couldn’t get into Severance.

Apple TV makes the best shows, and Severance is the best of all of them. I think its one of the single best things produced in the past decade. Maybe longer.
