Uh as a fellow 50 yr old I'd be all over her. Sans the arm hair. But that's what a microshaver is for!

Cameron's dad obviously had money but Ferris' family wasnt rich. He didnt even have a pos as he likes to put it so he has to admire Cameron's

Ferris was an a-hole. Im sorry but you arent driving my dads classic Ferrari out of his garage with that stupid live a little line.

Meh... he was showing off/ grabbing attention for Sloan just like the pool scene.

Ferris Bueller is mid pack as far as 80's movies but you have to appreciate it for what it is and the near perfect casting.

I never got the appeal of Ferris. Just a bunch of rich kids skipping school and worrying about rich kid stuff.

But I mostly don't care for this movie. I'm the same age as Ferris' character and I did not relate to any of the characters.

Yeah man I fricking hated Good Will Hunting.

Bunch of gross poor jackanapes worrying about poor kid stuff. Couldn’t relate at all

I was afraid this thread was about a remake. Thankfully that’s not the case

I'm sure it's coming.

But it will be titled, "Faris Bueller's Day Off" and it will be starring some overweight transgender person.

It's probably second only to "pretty in pink" as the worst of the John Hughes movies.

John Hughes movies worse than Pretty in Pink (and certainly worse than Ferris Bueller's day off...which was awesome).

Curly Sue
Dennis the menace
Baby's Day Out
Home Alone 2,3 & 4
Maid in Manhattan
Beethoven's 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th
Beethoven's Big Break
Career Opportunities
Some Kind of Wonderful

I always thought casting 30 year old Alan Ruck as a high schooler was funny.

Ok fair enough. I was talking about those teenage angst movies though. I thought ferris bueller sucked. All the teen characters were unlikable except for the sister.

Dude. Did you see that house? (7 bed, 5 bath, 4900 sf, $1.5m)That computer he had? Do you know how much computers cost in 1986...with all the peripherals Ferris had? They were upper middle class at worst.

And there’s no way Cameron, Ferris, and Sloan would not have had decent cars IRL.

Ferris Dad is basically Roger Sterling. If you listen to his chat with the clients outside of Chez Louis, he's trying to get them to buy more ad time across multiple channels. He's a client guy. And bums dont have offices like his in downtown Chicago.

Mom also had the typical im a bored housewife so now I want to sell real estate since the kids are "grown" look about her.

I like the movie. The older ive gotten, the more I cant get over what a raging dick Ferris is. Very manipulative and selfish. The other thing that gets me is him hacking into the school system with a rig that expensive at the time probably means he was a harvard drop out down the road. He of course dropped out because he had started some tech company that he sold for millions on little more than bullshite and dreams.

Ferris was also a high functioning sociopath. A liar, a cheater, manipulative and a user of those around him. Friends and family had no more value than what they could do for him.

Ferris is entitled and everything he does is at the expense of others. Only his sister knew what a shitty person he was.

Right now, ferris is in prison for embezzlement or a failed ponzi scheme or some shite like that.
