There is a ton of woke bullshite in tv/movies. Stop pretending there isn’t

The showrunners even tell us about their agenda and yall get mad when it’s discussed

Shalla-Bal in the comics was a love interest of the OG Silver Surfer.

People bitched about the Shalla-Bal being cast instead of Norrin Radd, but after watching the film, it worked. The jokes about her being Johnny's girlfriend was great banter and I was happy with the decision.

Anyone remember this? Now that the movie is out, I have no clue who this could have been:

I just got back from an IMAX screening, and we must've seen two different movies.

This is how I felt leaving Deadpool and Wolverine, so I can relate.

I liked Pedro as Reed. I think he did a better job than Krasinski would have done.

He was fine. He played him like a quiet genius. Seemed constantly in deep thought about everything. Constantly running equations and scenarios in his head. Very serious. I’m not a comic guy but there doesn’t seem much to the character as far as acting. He was fine.

Your incessant refrain of "dishonesty" and "stop lying" is a tactic to isolate and discredit instead of making a real argument.

You are trying silence me. I'm not allowed to have and share my opinion, according to you, it seems.

Probably my 2nd favorite summer movie behind F1 and ahead of Superman

Pandering exists but to say it's extra prevalent or there's some hidden agenda it's just lazy criticism or at best just people grifting people like you, MK, and Kaiju into acting like it's the biggest problem in Hollywood which it's objectively not. Race swapping or women leads aren't the reason are not the reason for the struggles of the MCU post Endgame. If you actually think that maybe you should listen to more than just a bunch of grifters and neck beards who's entire platform is almost exclusively whining about woke.

There's plenty of legitimate discussions about the problems that the current MCU has faced and corporate pandering is near the bottom of that list

No idea maybe RDJ? Anyways this is why ignore videos with shite like that especially the red circles they're mostly just regurgitating baseless rumours and are just looking for reactionary views.

I do wonder if releasing after JW and Superman has hurt it a bit.

Other thread was getting bogged down talking about dicks or whatever. So far the reviews are looking good

Are these legit reviews or are these "ironheart/Snow White/She-Hulk" type "good" reviews?

MCU might just have two solid back to back movies this year

What was the first one?

I haven't seen F4 yet, but right now I have Thunderbolts as my #1 comic book movie this year. I enjoyed it more than Superman. CA is easily the worst.

it's way easier to blame woke for everything than it is to actually criticize the real problems like poor writing or the loss of direction for the MCU, or how every movie had felt disconnected.

You realize the latter could be a symptom of the former, right?

I thought the same but Jurassic Park is underperforming too. I mean you had Barbie and Oppenheimer release at the same time in the summer so I don’t think that’s it. Jurassic Park and both super hero studios have brand damage, the two super hero movies were mid and Jurassic park stunk.

I’m surprised Superman is going to beat a Marvel studios Fantastic 4. Despite a poor foreign box office, this is a win for DC.

I don’t mind when people speak their mind. As long as it’s not false, hypocritical, or annoyingly persistent. The extreme on both sides annoy the frick out of me. 1) Read a room and 2) control your emotions. Say what you wanna say. But just chill you know.

The good news for both is August doesn't have much. Both studios should leave these films in the theater for a long while.
