Shalla-Bal in the comics was a love interest of the OG Silver Surfer. I do recall reading about, but I think most everyone wanted to see Norrin Radd in the big screen.

Seeing this Wednesday. Sort of off topic but it is unreal how haywire this board gets on movie reviews. Some of you purposefully make these discussions an absolute train wreck and it’s getting ridiculous.

They've succeeded. Ne Zha 2 is the most successful film in a single territory ever. A top 5 worldwide grosser of all time, with almost all of the business local. They don't need Hollywood right now.

I watched it yesterday and thought it was the best marvel since Spider-Man. The Interstellar second act was a lot of fun.
Everybody should be seeing this in IMAX. I’ve seen comparisons of the Galactus scenes and you are missing some great shots on a regular screen.

I saw it in 3D and the space scenes are amazing. I normally hate 3D but this was cool. I also got to see the Avatar 3 trailer in 3D which I loved. Whether you love or hate avatar, it’s pretty sick to see in 3d.
But yeah this is actually a pretty cool movie in 3d.

I do have to wonder if they made Shalla the Surfer just give Johnny a sort of love interest. Wouldn't be the first time Johnny has hooked up with an alien so maybe they'll bring her back. Or maybe they just adapt the comic where Johnny bangs Doom's fiance which causes him to want to end the multiverse
All that being said the space scenes especially the scene where Shalla is chasing the crew while Jonny is firing at her during the wormhole might be one of my favorite scenes in the entire MCU. Really smart how they had the wormhole bend the lasers Johnny was shooting.

Right, because when majority of your content is bitching about woke and acting like that's the reason for the MCU's struggles isn't a grift. I never said Drinker was an idiot just that he uses rage bait videos and woke to gather a frick ton of views because it's easy work. And that's the same for a lot of YouTubers, it's way easier to blame woke for everything than it is to actually criticize the real problems like poor writing or the loss of direction for the MCU, or how every movie had felt disconnected.
