But correct. I don't even bother with him anymore.

Jerry Stiller (George's dad on Seinfeld, Carrie's dad on King of Queens, Maury Ballstein in Zoolander)
Anne Meara (also an actress who has been in films like The Daytrippers and TV shows like King of Queens).
They are both in comedy. He was being sarcastic which is why he did the rimshot emoticon.

In the 00's maybe. His recent movies The Town and Argo exclude him from this list forever.

Tommy Lee Jones. But Damn it's a great character.

Love Clint Eastwood but he's been playing a grouchy badass forever

Disagree.
While he plays a some roles where he is the same type of goofy character, he also can play some really different and serious roles.

it would be interesting to see if he COULD play a weaker character
And of course it is not just Clint Eastwood or Tommy Lee Jones who always play a certain type of character - most action stars (if you credit them with acting) play the same character in movie after movie. A guy like Jackie Chan has a different character than Stallone or Ahnold but individually they pretty much play the same character over and over.
Tom Cruise was mentioned and I think he's a bit of a doucher but I disagree - he's played more varied characters than most (Risky Business, Rain Man, Born on Fourth of July, Magnolia, Tropic Thunder). Will Smith was probably playing the same guy in Independence Day, Bad Boys, Men in Black, and Wild Wild West but has other movies where he's branched out (Six Degrees of Separation, The Pursuit of Happiness) a little so he's more varied than most other "A list" male leads.

95% of actors.
Even Tom Hanks, Denzel, Samuel L. Jackson, John Cusack, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Will Smith, Clint Eastwood, Russell Crowe etc.

This is just terrible.

It's not terrible. We don't pay millions of dollars to watch Tom Cruise play someone else. We pay millions of dollars to watch Tom Cruise play some slight variation of the same Tom Cruise Character. Same goes for Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp.
People don't like change, they don't like something new, they like things that are familiar. Look at the list, all of these actors are massively popular, not because they play someone different, or that they are actually good actors, its because they play someone familiar. Someone we know that is placed in a new situation from before.
There's nothing wrong with that. None of the listed men above are particularly brilliant actors.
