Lourdes and Hal are/were both the mole as both are/were being controlled by the aliens. Not inconceivable that he shot Locke, left the weapon somewhere, and then she used it to shoot the President now. They wouldn't even need to be aware of each other as the aliens are controlling them.

Decent explanation and very plausible.

I felt like last night's episode wasn't bad, but we still got nowhere plot-wise though.

I also feel like the whole "the aliens can control whoever they want any time they want" thing is getting ridiculous. So it was Hal, and then it was Lourdes. And it seems like it's been several other people in the past as well. And in the previews for next week, it showed Tom with the same "Hal look" like he could be a mole or some shite.

The whole family in the woods thing pissed me off. Okay, so they get the jump on you and are trying to survive...cool. Then they slip up and you get the upper hand back. Even better. But then you slip up and they get the upper hand again. Um..okay. Then they slip up and you get the upper hand back. WTF? And then after all that, you decide to go back and help them out, which gets you into even worse trouble? They sure did spend an awful lot of time telling us how important it was to find Anne and Alexis only to never look for them for a single second the entire episode (after the first 30 seconds of the episode).

Interested to see where things go from here...they alluded to the attack on the Espheni in two weeks last night, so hopefully that happens this season and we get to see what that Volm machine is really all about.

Like I said, decent episode even though almost nothing happened to advance anything (aside from maybe the President getting killed).

If she was infested all along, I don't get why she didn't sabotage Hal's eye worm removal. They said the procedure would either work or kill him, and the humans presiding over the operation obviously had no idea how it worked. She could have very subtly made one wrong move and gotten rid of Hal rather than kill the aliens that were similarly controlling both he and her.

Good point. It definitely doesn't make much sense. And I hope they don't keep going with the "everybody will eventually be a mole" thing.

same here

it's such a cop-out and an easy vehicle for writers to keep falling back on to keep plodding the story along

It was a pretty good episode, but it did very little to advance the story. The whole back and forth thing with that family got old. They kept taking the guns from each other.

Pope has actually gotten better and become one of the more interesting characters in the last few episodes. This could be because a lot of the other characters have been doing a lot of stupid shite.

I hope we get to some action between the humans and aliens soon.

Pope has always been a decent character, but I just hated the actor playing him. But I agree that he's gotten better (both the actor and the character).

Seems like I remember Lourdes being infected last season, when she helped remove the bug from Tom, and if I did, kudos to the writers for letting us forget that. Also, when her black mechanic boyfriend got merked, she flipped her shite, so it's perfectly plausible and almost fitting that she'd be a mole. I'm ok with her being it, as long as they don't pull any other sleeper bullshite.

I thought last nights ep was ok. I did get a little pissed at the who's on first routine between the Mason family and the robbers. All I know as of now is that I'm very much looking fwd to these last 3 weeks. I'm not mad that I've stuck with this show. Oh and book it, Pope will not only save Weaver, but he'll end up saving all of Charleston single handedly in some way, shape or form.

the only thing I remember was that they were still in the bus/hospital thing, running from place to place. They pulled that bug out of his eye, and put it in a glass vile. Then, later on, they show the glass vile empty with a tiny hole drilled out - presumably, the bug escaped....but then nothing, right?

lets all hope it's martyrdom and he takes a couple of Tom's boys with him, preferably the youngest one

From what I remember, it got out and crawled up the wall of the bus and flew out of a window. I feel like I remember that specifically happening. Not that it matters anyway because she had about 17 worms crawling around her face in the chapel scene.

Yeah I still hate the fricking youngest kid, but I am trying to not sound like a broken record with that. Hal sucks too. Ben is actually growing on me a little bit.

ah, yeah, maybe so....I think you're right now that I think about it

like I said, there's some continuity issues with this show. I'm not accusing them of blatantly putting square pegs in a round hole, but they are walking a fine line

it's really not cool to go.."aaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnd now she's got eye bugs......because I said so"

yeah, agreed.

And I'm not sure why I'm thinking this, maybe I dreamed it, but I thought I remembered a specific scene where we see a bug either crawling into her, or kind of like a wink wink moment where we were supposed to know something got into her. Maybe it was in the aftermath of her bf dying but it's going to drive me crazy until I can either confirm or deny this

Well, this was an interesting episode and I enjoyed it. I have been curious about Tom's wife and the boys mother for some time now. My curiosity is satisfied on that front.

It was interesting to see an alternate reality episode on this series and it exactly just how I pictured it. I like when people kept asking him for where he was going, he wouldn't give a straight answer and somehow someway he knew something was wrong. As shitty as the writing has been this season, that's pretty solid right there.

Did I hear correctly that Tom walked from Michigan across several states? Crazy.

With all that said, regretably despite this good episode, we are still no closer to a conclusion than we were next week. So either some shite is going down in the next two weeks or it's going to be a total snooze fest. I'm really hoping for the best here and we get a couple epic episodes here.

I don't think there's any way Anne and the baby are really dead. That would make everything with the half alien baby even more ridiculously pointless than those scenes already were.

I'm now officially pulling for Karen the rest of the way. I've had it with the resistance, and Mason.

Well, the alien grid did go up and we know which cities are the main alien bases: New York, Boston, Chicago, Jacksonville.

My money would be on them attacking Boston, since they already have the sets and visuals for that city.

Though with Charleston as their base, Jacksonville would be a closer target.

Yep, no way they would invest that much screen time only to have the characters simply killed off like that.

As far as evil alien overlords go, she's pretty hot. I'd let her infect me with some alien parasites.
