no Batman Begins?

That's core problem with Nolan's trilogy - didn't end on a high note and The Dark Knight, which is only barely a movie about Batman, sucks all the oxygen out of the conversation.

It's like Godfather and Godfather II - if there had been no strong performance (Jimmy Caan early and Al later on and Duvall and company providing a foundation) to balance out Brando, that's all anyone would ever talk about. As it is, it dominates conversations and these are considered by many to be the best movies of all time.

Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker in TDR was almost "too" good. So good, it takes away from the rest of the film.

It happens.

No Batman Begins is egregious. Black Panther and Wonder Woman are ranked too high. Pleasantly surprised to see The Crow on there. Watchmen needs to be ranked higher. Shin Kamen Rider I've never heard of, axe that. Toss The Batman, too.

Was with you until the last sentence.

I hated Shazam.

Guardians 2 but not the original? WTF?

Right? Guardians 1 is as close to a perfect comic book movie as you can get.

Hellboy and Black Panther shouldn't be near the top 25. Shazam should be higher, as should Capt. America WS. ...and where is Guardians and the first Spiderman?

shite list

I get making lists is never going to please everybody, but holy hell that is an awful list.

The fact that they had the wherewithal to pick a Hellboy movie, but not Hellboy 2, is mind-boggling.

Or putting Avengers so high and not IW

Infinity War was better than Endgame. I will fight people over this if I have to.

I agree with only a few they have in the top 10:

X2, Unbreakable, The Dark Knight, and Spider-Man II are damn near perfect for the genre.

I didn't even notice Shazam on there. I probably did enjoy that more than The Batman. I'm not a Paul Dano fan.

It looks like it's one of those lists trying to fulfill quotas in some sense.

Like "I need one weird, pseudo-super hero movie, I need the meta movie, I need two Batmans, which ones...., etc."

Begins isn't on there because TDK is, and you can't leave off 89 either.

There are some super odd choices. But a lot of movies would belong on this list and they did get #1 and 2 correct.

Both of these points for sure.

Hellboy 2 is Top 5.

IW is also.

No. I have no great nostalgia for the original, but the new one was bad.

I feel like Blade is better than half those movies and it didn't even make the list.

The Avengers is better than Infinity War and Endgame?

I find it hard to believe anyone actually believes that.
