So hollywood shut out blacks for awards for nearly half a century now these award shows should just go ahead and change their name to the NCCP awards. I have never seen acting so good and this is the greatest movie ever created

'm pretty sure Esquire didn't say that.

Sinners is probably over-praised, but it's not a racial statement.

I think Ethan Hawke's performance in "Blue Moon" deserves serious consideration.

Um… the whole movie is satirical. There’s this whole genre called satire and OBAA is in it.

I don't think Sinners deserves picture of the year but it was an entertaining movie with scary vampires and good music.

frick that movie. Mid at best and the obligatory KKK scene tacked onto the end was just pure rage porn pandering to black audiences.

Just saw something online that predicted Sinners will pass LOTR as the most Oscar’s in history

What a joke.

I don't doubt it. It at least will win the big awards, like best picture, best actor, best director, etc.

I think it wins Casting, Score, and Original Screenplay. If MBJ wins it’s because everybody thinks Chalamet is a douche. OBAA should still get Director and Picture.

I've seen some folks in the movie space say that the situation with the man with tourettes really changed things for a lot of voters.

Sinners is about as best picture worthy as Shakespeare in Love was. It’ll be forgotten even quicker because it’s not beating a clear winner like Saving Private Ryan.

Sinners being the most nominated movie in history is so ridiculous. I usually don't care about Hollywood shite, but this is infuriating. It was average at best.

I could see that. Personally I would give it to Ethan Hawke if Chalamet loses. MBJ is the weakest pick in that category. Sinners is at least competitive in the rest.

Hawke and Moura were also excellent. I like Jordan's performance, but he's at the bottom of this list for me

In what way? Don’t tell me people are saying, Michael B will get the sympathy vote now because someone says something racist? That’s the stupidest shite I’ve ever read.

This opening is pretty weak. I thought Conan would do better

I only caught the end because I couldn’t find the stream on Hulu. I’m just happy they moved on from Kimmel.

Glad to see Madigan win.

Sinners was a really good, fun movie. Jordan did a really good job playing multiple characters.

Notice black people CAN NOT make a movie without covering slavery in it?

The music scenes in Sinners were kick arse though. Fun movie. Oscar worthy? No idea...

OBAA was alright.

I enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t watch it again.

I disliked every character except for Leo and del Toro, likely on purpose.

It dragged a bit at the end.

The music and cinematography were great.

It was definitely Oscar-bait.

I do disagree with the idea that it is hyper-leftist in political ideology.

It definitely leans left with the social commentary on immigration, but the “revolutionaries” were stereotypical retards and definitely were painted that way.
