I’ve already had to visit the hospital earlier. There was only so much I could take with a week long erection

I've been thinking about this.

What if Bran went back in time, "hodored" the mad king forcing Jaime to kill the MK setting the table for the rest of the story.

"Burn It All" = "Hold the Door"

I think that's been implied. They certainly left the door open for that to be a possible scenario.

Dany's reactions to stuff- despite being pissed about things, she isn't always raging. When Theon came and hugged Sansa, she looked surprised more than angry, like "how could she forgive him", and "how could he so openly plead to fight for Winterfell". I think she's processing the wisdom and mercy aspects of that, instead of being offended that he said "hi, my Queen" to her, and hugged Sansa

I think it was a lot of stuff there. Theon’s devotion to Sansa/Winterfell and her immediate mercy even though they had both been pretty shitty to each other mostly. Danny feels like she has to execute people she cant get in line. Theon could have went home with sis and been safe from the winter but chose almost certain death defending Winterfell and was happy to do so. Maybe some jealousy or she saw some self reflection in Sansa as she had Jorah and other folks who would do the same for her.

I think Danny is coming to realize Winterfell is unique and has its ways like the slave fighting pits in Meereen was just a culture thing. Maybe None of that who knows

I wonder if it will be longer than the alley fight in “They Live”?

Dany had 100K Dothraki, 8K Unsullied to start. Those numbers haven't dropped too far yet.

I thought she had a 100K too but the battle map they showed didn’t see like anywhere close to 100K. And if they had a 100K then the army of the dead had like 400K because it dwarfed their army. Plus Dothraki which I’m assuming are the triangles because they’re cavalry, are smaller then all the other armies. So it seems that they’re a small portion of the 100K.

So I guessing she didn’t bring the entire 100K with her across the sea because there’s not enough ships because in addition to the 100K she would also need to bring at least 100K horses and the Dothraki families. Also Euron sunk a number of their ships. Maybe she has more at Dragonstone but then why didn’t she bring them considering the dead several outnumber them?

Well you are assuming that a map where they can't possibly know how many undead there are is to scale.

They just think there are way more of them then there are of the defenders

Yeah, no way this is to scale. Where's Pod's magical cock?

Yeah but there’s no way that they have a 100K Dothraki though. The triangles in the front represent the Dothraki and there’s far less of them than the Northerners and Unsullied each. For example we know for a fact she has around 8-10K Unsullied. Yeah it’s probably not to scale but I don’t think they would underrepresent the Dothraki by that much because that would also change up their formation. A 100K Dothraki, or anywhere close to that would be covering up the front lines.

Also the only indication we got of Dothraki’s number was before she crossed the sea. We were not told how many of them made it over. Plus more importantly, they don’t have the CGI budget to properly showcase a battle of probably like 200K total.

She never said 100,000. She said, “May I ask, how are we meant to feed the greatest army the world has ever seen? While I ensured our stores would last through winter, I didn't account for Dothraki, Unsullied and two full-grown dragons.”

I mean she has left some behind along the way to occupy territories she held i thought? That could easily explain halving the Dothraki Army when you account for deaths from Euron, fighting the Lannisters or whatever else.

I imagine the battle is gonna start out looking [relatively] optimistic, then each 10-15 minutes something increasingly sinister occurs. Followed by a quasi resolution which ends up backfiring leading to a truly devastating event tearing our heroes asunder. Leaving survivors greatly weakened but still yet to face another foe that has a plot with consequences that completely surprise our heroes .

Will the WHite Walkers go for the flank and try to surround WInterfell and climb the walls?

Or just go head on against the Fighters?

Seems like there is plenty of WW to fight head on to occupy them while a lot more of the WW to go around the defenses or to surround the fighters altogether

But she knows the severity of the threat of the dead. If she only brought over a small army of them, then she knows if she loses at Winterfell there’s no point in holding those areas. Plus they’ve only been involved in one major battle (Field of Fire 2.0) and if there was any other battle that cost them tens of thousands of lives, they would at least have mentioned it. I just don’t think she brought over a 100K.

However as I mentioned in another thread, I do think they’ll win because maybe the entire army of the dead and NK isn’t there. Like you said, they’ll barely win but be left completely devastated but still have to fight something else.

i'm calling it that the night king is not going to be present at the battle, at all. thats going to be the big devastating discovery...

they've banked on a plan to draw him to bran, and he's not even going to be there.

Yeah I think they would’ve showed him at the end of last week’s episode if he was there. Only the White Walker generals were shown.

Maybe he’s going to be at KL’s because that’s what Bran’s vision of the dragon flying over KL was. That’s also the only way I can see the dead losing at Winterfell.

It's truly annoying to me that we're 8 seasons in, and some of you still don't know the difference between White Walkers and Wights.
