Really cool interactive map that allows you to track character's paths.
Qarth sticks out, didn't realize it was that far away

Rumored to be the longest continuous battle scene in film or TV history. I am ready!
If they just did this it would be over pretty quickly.

Battle of Winterfell
Between the Bolton-Stannis battle, the Battle of the Bastards, and now this, so many people have died and bled on that field I'm not sure anything could grow on it.

Has it been clearly stated the battle of winterfell is the longest battle scene or did they just say the longest battle scene takes place in season 8?

so i'm gonna guess this is the kahuna as far as GoT goes. clearly there will be more conflict but not like this
one hanging chad that Ep3 wont have time for, but has been bugging me since sunday...what did bran and tyrion talk about?

I guess it’s a theory that I have, but wouldn’t you think if the night King’s army reaches Kings landing that would be a larger battle because there are more people in kings landing plus the gold company is there.

Seriously- Tyrion just became safe. Whatever Bran told him that made him comment that they may live, the longer he doesn't reveal it, the longer he definitely doesn't die.
Couple random observations after rewatching ep 1 and 2:
I don't think Dany is going the Mad Queen route. She's pissed that the North doesn't love her and Tyrion's messed up with Cersei again, but she followed Jorah's advice on both those ends. Retained Tyrion, reached out to Sansa.
Missandei serves as the counterpoint to her going nuts; people follow Dany willingly because she's good, she says she can leave at any time, and now she plans on leaving Westeros after this war. Also, Jon chose her willingly, Tyrion and Varys did, because she will be a good queen. And Jon continued to tell Sansa to have faith in his decision.
Re Jon and heir to the throne- his first response was "I wish it wasn't true". He doesn't want it.
Dany's reactions to stuff- despite being pissed about things, she isn't always raging. When Theon came and hugged Sansa, she looked surprised more than angry, like "how could she forgive him", and "how could he so openly plead to fight for Winterfell". I think she's processing the wisdom and mercy aspects of that, instead of being offended that he said "hi, my Queen" to her, and hugged Sansa.
Her reaction to Jon was more "how the frick could this happen", instead of "I'm going to burn you for betraying me". She and Jon love each other, they now need to figure out what this all means for each party.
Jon and the Iron Throne, incest, etc... if he takes it, we need a queen. Dany's his aunt, Sansa's his cousin, he has no other viable option and we have 4 episodes left. Short answer is that I don't think incest outside brother/sister is a big deal in the show.

Except for flying directly at the white walkers, in a straight line, who we know can go Olympic javelin toss on their asses and kill them immediately.

quote:No, it wouldn't. Most of the population of King's Landing aren't armed, or readily available as conscripts into an army.

Golden Company is 20K.
Dany had 100K Dothraki, 8K Unsullied to start. Those numbers haven't dropped too far yet. Add in the remnants of the North, and the Knights of the Veil, and we're well into 6 figures of trained, armed and experienced fighting soldiers, as well as the civilian transcripts (everyone from 13 to 70) at Winterfell. Plus the 2 remaining dragons, now both with riders.
They're planning on holding Winterfell, fighting from a defended position to buy time for Bran to lure in the Night King, trying to somehow have enough attrition to come out of this alive.
King's Landing you have the Golden Company, the King's Guard and City guard, Euron's people if you get them off those boats, and a shite ton of panicked civilians. You also have Wildfire coming into play.
As for Viserion- that dragon is a wight. Wights are stopped by fire, dragonglass and Valerian Steel. Perhaps you have a flaming arrow from one of the giant crossbows, but otherwise you don't have the right material on the arrows. And fire doesn't instantly stop wights, they just burn. The bear kept fighting while on fire. So unless you physically break off one of his wings, even landing a hit won't take him out.
That plays out to a quick battle:
Cersei blows up any sections of King's Landing she thinks is compromised instead of fighting to hold it, and that probably includes her troops too if they happen to be in the wrong place.
Viserion wrecks the Red Keep, and survivors have to go to the Dungeons under it for shelter. And then maybe get chomped on by all those dragon skulls
Oh, and zombie Septa Unella and the two Dornish wenches, as well as any other prisoners will be going apeshit too. I could see them killing Qyburn and the rest of the court.

There is background/source material that goes into the history of brothers marrying sisters in this family to preserve the purity of the Dragon bloodline. The result of which explains the "Mad King" ...

shite, I haven’t even thought about the dragon skeletons

I've been thinking about this.
What if Bran went back in time, "hodored" the mad king forcing Jaime to kill the MK setting the table for the rest of the story.
"Burn It All" = "Hold the Door"
