These movies were only good because of the supporting cast.

I remember going to see this in the theater with a couple of friends. He gets to the vision quest where he sees the naked Eskimo chick, my buddy says "I woulda failed the frick out of that test."

Remember first seeing it in Europe on vacation as a teenager. It was called Nico. You couldn't sit where you wanted.

But you could buy a glass of beer during intermission.

End Facebook post.

Seagal's best film and its not even close.

I generally agree that Under Siege is his best, but I have a warm spot for Above the Law. Hard to Kill is a guilty pleasure as you suggest.

None of the rest of his films is worth even watching unless you are a rabid Seagal fan(obviously excluding Executive Decision).

Was never so angry as I was for this film and what happens to Seagal.

They basically hyped it as this huge Seagal vehicle along with Kurt Russell, and it felt like it was going to be his big comeback to glory.. And then.... Boom....... He's gone.

I'll never forget. Everyone looked at each other in the living room and said 'what the hell just happened? He's coming back right??'

We then all kept waiting for SS to come back into the film somehow and it never happened. Easily one of the greatest action film disappointments of my lifetime.

I strangely find Under Siege 2 more rewatchable, maybe because it doesn't try and pretend to be a real movie. It's the gateway to B-movie Seagal.

If this was spotted at Blockbuster, it was getting rented and watched that night.

What a great thread. I'll never forget renting On Deadly Ground and being so hyped for a new Seagal movie. Then I watched it and was so disappointed I'm not sure I watched another Seagal movie again (Executive Decision excluded obviously).

I may need to dive into his early catalogue as well though. Those are all enjoyable movies from my childhood. Anybody know off-hand how many of his movies are on streaming?

Certainly would watch:
Above the Law
Hard to Kill
Marked for Death
Out for Justice
Under Siege

I don't know if I've ever seen Under Siege 2 (since it came out after I saw On Deadly Ground), but based on this thread I should maybe check it out.

I remember renting Glimmer Man from Hollywood Video and thinking even in my teenage years that it was a piece of shite movie.
