This movie was terrific.

Everything was on point.

Everyone that doesn't appreciate this movie is angry at the world and miserable.

Everything is fine.
Can't wait to watch more puppies riding on chickens.

Definitely looking forward to the midterms this fall

Or is someone who appreciates editing. I'm halfway through and might not finish. McKay's choice to constantly cut from scenes in the middle of dialogue is so tiring. I don't know what he thought would be funny about your choice. It's making this unwatchable.

The end with the whole "don't look up" shite, I felt was pretty political talking shite about republicans, but the social media slant, the political gridlock stuff and categorizing the billionaire tech guys I thought was right on target.

So the side you agree with was on point but when they joked about your side it was “talking shite”?

Or, and just hear me out, it was just a fun movie that made fun of both.

I took it as a slightly more serious “idocracy”.

It’s weird that they’re stuck on DiCaprio being “sexy”. Like trying to force it like they did with Barrymore and others. Knowing damn well if he wasn’t famous and people saw him in public, they wouldn’t look twice.

But the joke is that he is super famous

Which is cool, but it means there are many different reasons to dislike something, even if you personally really enjoy it.

It was an updated Idiocracy. More accurate given the politics/social b.s. going on today. Probably what would really happen if a giant comet was heading this way.

Just imagine a few naked actor cameos at the very end of...

Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Dax Shepard and Terry Crews

Just finished it. Wife and I had a blast watching it. The humor worked for me. Jonah Hill was great.

Jonah Hill: "I'm sorry, did you say Michigan State?"

Dr. Oglethorpe: "Exactly. They have an excellent astronomy department."

Jonah Hill: "Come on, bro."

I watched it tonight. Didn’t dislike it and was entertained. Got a little dark at the end and while it probably did poke at Republicans more, I thought it did a great job going after the media establishment. Definitely had Dr. Strangelove/Idiocracy vibes but didn’t quite hit the standard those two set. This movie will be forgotten about in a month.

Jennifer Lawrence’s line about that “They’re not smart enough to be as evil as you think they are” perfectly summed up what’s going on today.

I enjoyed this movie. Not sure all of the hate this movie is getting? I thought it went pretty hard after everyone. I chuckled throughout.

I haven't seen it yet, but it's being called this generation's Idiocracy. That alone hooks me in.

I felt personally attacked by Chris Evans character and the "both sides need to stop virtue signaling and come together" bit

"that's so refreshing"

It definitely has that Idiocracy vibe, but in a more realistic/still-Babylon-Bee-ish setting.

Much like Luke Wilson gave that "Jags-fan-WTF-gif" face to all the morons surrounding him in Idiocaracy, Leo & Jennifer are just as baffled at the incredulous reactions.

In this movie?
no.

Young Leo?
He was a good looking fellow.

He is a few lbs away from the val Kilmer transition, imo.

Actors who aren't schlubby will intentionally gain weight to play characters who are.

We're not seeing Leo's regular cruising weight in this movie.
