It was amazing.

I loved the zombie Strange also. It was great. So much great horror in this.

I love Krasinski, but I’m not sure he has that kind of screen presence. He’s an excellent Reed though

I don't want to fight with the people who are excited about him as Reed Richards but... I'm having trouble with the "world's smartest man" having such a resting dumb face.

Did his nose and ears get bigger or were they always huge?

That's where I'm at. Time travel and multi-dimensions are just too easy for lazy writing. And there are very few stories that utilize either that don't grow plot holes like crabgrass.

It certainly is, which is why the whole story this is leading to, Hickmans Secret Wars, Doom ends the multiverse and resets.

Which is the perfect time to recast the MCU when Franklin does it.

Has it been mentioned that marvel created a Latina character who’s special ability is to border jump to another universe? That’s kinda fricked up.

That’s the thing about the SJW moment-it’s racist as frick.

The CGI on the octopus was pretty terrible. Whole scene felt pretty cheesy

I mean, I thought he actually looked the part pretty well. Not sure his writing did him any favors. And his character felt forced and very out of place in this movie. So it just felt off for me.

Which is why they should have focused on a Strange centered story instead of so much fricking world building. They threw so much shite in your face, you throw in the towel before they even get started. They jumped the gun.

They need to use it as a plot device to reset the universe and start over.

Outside of that's it's going to get too big and too convoluted to follow.

Saw it earlier today and I really enjoyed it.

Olsen was pretty good as villain Scarlet Witch.

No offense, man, but you're WAY overanalyzing this.

Anyone with any reasoning would have anticipated that a Dr Strange movie would be weird and trippy, and not a big centerpiece in the MCU's next big plot. I get that Cumberpatch has the charisma to be a lead, but you need more of an action hero to be in that spot.

If I were going to predict, I'd say Moon Knight plays a big part going forward. I know he's obscure, but I don't care- you have the right actor in Oscar Isaac, with the right skill set as a character, to anchor the next phase. Isaac can be the lead he probably expected to be with Star Wars, but was denied. Moon Knight isn't overpowered, you can fight in the streets; but can also take it up a notch if need be.

Her wrecking them and their base was easily the best part of the movie.

Exactly, a central Strange movie is gonna be out there and weird as hell, it’s part of the character.

Oh there’s no doubt.

So my issue with the movie is that it made Dr Strange interesting for me. It had a tone and aesthetic that fit him perfectly. And they didn’t do him justice because they tried to world build too much. That’s just a personal opinion of mine.

Everyone is going to want there own things in the universe. Or want a certain direction. I personally don’t care about direction and am disappointed they didn’t have a solid finished product. For me anyway.

So in my endless rambling , that’s essentially what I’m trying to say.
