I'll need to know your race, political affiliation, and thoughts on the existence of extraterrestrials before answering you.

No Other Choice deserved a Best Picture nomination. Also to win International Feature and Editing. But it didn’t even get nominated for anything.

Not sure what ones were all nominated. But I thought Sinners was really good. It's basically an updated (and black, but not in a bad way) version of From Dusk Till Dawn.

Bugonia is one that I have been dying to see, but it isn't streaming free yet anywhere last time I checked, so I haven't gotten a chance to watch it.

For free?

I checked about a week ago and you still had to rent or buy it.

That’s weird. It’s been free since Christmas. I just checked mine and it’s still there.

I enjoyed Marty Supreme, Sinners and Begonia. Did not care for OBAA at all.

I'll definitely go check...it may be longer than a week or so ago, but I've definitely checked since Christmas though.

But I've been wanting to watch it for months now. And I did recently upgrade my Peacock, so maybe before I didn't have access to it. Who the hell knows.

I saw

Bugonia
One Battle After Another
Sinners
Frankenstein

OBAA and Sinners were good. Bugonia was my favorite. Didn't like Frankenstein.

Parasite remains the only Korean film to ever receive an Academy nomination.

(Minari doesn't count)

agree with this.

flaws and all, it's well acted and shot.

Real world stupid and everybody except Del Toro and the daughter are hateable, but still a fun watch.

Sinners is fun but a bit eye rolling. Well done.
F1 is a good popcorn movie.
Frankenstein was a weird BP nominee, but I liked it.

F1 and Sinners are good popcorn movies I liked them both. Just finished OBAA before the awards and wasn’t really a fan not terrible like some on the board have said but also not really anything great either.

I dont know that I’ve seen a movie either nominated for, or a winner of, an Oscar since the 90s. And I’m damn proud of it.

The “academy” is more liberal than the old Russian Politburo….

One battle after another was great. I laughed so many times while also sitting on the edge of my seat.

Sinners was very entertaining, not especially unique but very enjoyable and Michael B Jordan did a great job.

F1 was amazing and I watched it multiple times
