Are we watching the gas leak year or skipping?
I'd watch the Freaky Friday episode and skip every other one from that season.

Courtesy bump. I am so frickin excited to start but they're doing renovation work in our place so I'm quarantined to the back room with no Netflix. When they're done I honestly and worried about my health bc I don't plan to leave the couch for a while except to pee

Here are some of my favorite episodes or some of the episodes I thought were underrated (all from the first three seasons).
s1E21 - Contemporary American Poultry - Kind of a turning point episode for the series, from what I can remember, it's the first parody/homage episode they did.
S1E23 - Modern Warfare - Obviously. The first paintball episode. And the thing that got Justin Lin control of the Fast & Furious franchise.
S2E03 - The Psychology of Letting Go - This is the one where Abed assist a woman giving birth throughout the background of the episode.
S2E06 - Epidemiology - The zombie outbreak episode
S2E07 - Aerodynamics of Gender - Overall the episode is pretty good, but the twist reveal at the end when Troy is remembering interactions with the janitor is one my favorite scenes in the whole series.
Actually, everything from episode 6 through 9 of season 2 is prime Community. Episode 8 is the bottle episode Cooperative Caligraphy, episode 9 is Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design.
S2E14 - Advanced Dungeons and Dragons - another weird detour from sitcom normalcy. A great example episode for anyone wondering why the show didn't get a wider following on network TV. Brilliant episode.
S2E19 - Critical Film Studies - The "My Dinner with Andre" episode. Features an incredible Abed monologue.
S2E21 - Paradigms of Human Memory - The clip show that didn't contain any actual clips from previous episodes.
S2E23 and 24 - The double paintball episodes to close season 2.
I will have to come back to this to add Season 3, because there are so many in that season. It's my favorite of the three.
Season 3 is where they started to get very insular and really making episodes only for the current (to that time) fans of the show without really trying to court new viewers. A lot of inaccessible episodes filled with callbacks, inside jokes, meta jokes about the show itself. And it's fricking awesome.
S3E02 - Geography of Global Conflict - The model UN episode.
S3E03 - Remedial Chaos Theory - many peoples pick for best episode of the series, and a worthy choice. Set the stage for the rest of the season. Introduced us to the Darkest Timeline, which we a currently living.
S3E05 - Horror Fiction in Seven Spooky Steps - another great Halloween episode. I believe this episodes introduces the song Daybreak, which was later featured on several other episodes.
S3E08 - Documentary Flimmaking Redux - The Hearts of Darkness Episode.
S3E10 - Regional Holiday Music - The Glee parody, and IMO the best Christmas episode of the series. Episode highlight is clearly Annie's song to Jeff.
S3E11 - Contemporary Impressionists - Similar to Aerodynamics of Gender, a good episode, but the two Michael Jackson costumes get me every time.
I'm not as high on the pair of episodes related to the competing pillow forts, but others think very highly of the Ken Burns sendup Pillows and Blankets.
S3E17 - Basic Lupine Urology - The best Law & Order episode in years. Just fantastic. This episode is the start of my favorite run of episodes in the entire series.
S3E18 - Course Listing Unavailable - The funeral and the expansion of Chang's power.
S3E19 - Curriculum Unavailable - My personal favorite episode of the whole series. Guest star John Hodgman is great, the whole premise of the episode is great, the callbacks to earlier episodes, just really well done.
S3E20 - Digital Estate Planning - Another episode that really shows why they couldn't gain a mainstream audience. It was an animated video game. But there were a lot of subtle jokes worked into the game, it's an especially good rewatch episode.
S3E21 - First Chang Dynasty - Chang is much better in small doses, but this is a very good heist movie episode.

Nothing can top Remedial Chaos Theory. One of the best written episodes of any show ever. Btw, you left off D&D.

That was not intentional, I will add it in when I add in the season 3 ones.

Nothing is better than those first couple paintball episodes. I could’ve taken a whole season of paintball episodes

have to wonder what this shows trajectory is if they put in on netflix back in while it was still on TV.

I just looked on Netflix, and even searched for it, and it wasn’t there. Am I missing something?

I had to do a search for community, and even then it was like halfway down the page

Same. I thought they would be promoting the hell out of it

Just started the rewatch
First time I’ve noticed they used Aimee Mann’s song for the end of episode 2
Low key killer sound track in the early episodes. You can tell when NBC stopped caring about it and cut budget

Might be an unpopular opinion but it’s probably my favorite season.

What Netflix shows you is based on their algorithm of what you watch on there. I watch a ton of comedies, stand up, and sitcoms on Netflix and it was the first thing that popped up yesterday.
I was listening to comedian Bert Kreischer on one of his podcasts in the past couple weeks. His stand up special came out on Netflix a couple weeks ago, and he talked about how he has to search for his special on Netflix because he doesnt watch other stand up specials, so it doesnt recommend it to him.
